Case of not taking India seriously - another Gorbechove in making.
by Neil on Jul 24, 2006 08:13 PM  Permalink

Mr. Shenoy,
You say the overflowing refuse from beloved neighbor, is a good source of vote for SOME PARTIES. Why did you stop there, why didn't you come out and say the word, "CONGRESS". It is, afterall, a well known fact, that if given a free hand, Congress will convert India also into a muslim country, governed by sharia, and soon run Taliban or Qaida style. Otherwise, how dare these muslims issue fatwa on singing Vande Mataram in schools, or claim ownership of national property like Taj Mahal, or raise hell against Ram Mandir. After all Babri Masjid was erected by an intruder. Now if Congress, and especially gutless prime minister without a backbone has no shame in being subservient openly to american designs against India, then of course no country will take India seriously. Even after over 50 years of "independence" Indians have not learnt the value of voting right and its power, and are still dependent on white skin for approval for anything they want to do, then of course no country will take India seriously.

An eye opener to those who believe other wise.
by Vinay Inala on Jul 24, 2006 08:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Thanks for sharing your views Mr.Shenoy. I hope it acts as an eye opener to people who believe every thing is rosy or are indifferent.

And until we have parties like Congress which try to woo these so called ''innocent minorities'' for their nefarious gains, we would have more 7/11's.

India! Please wake up.

When are WE going to change?
by Suhas Biwalkar on Jul 24, 2006 08:00 PM  Permalink

I fully agree with you. GOD help those who help themselves. The only reason we are facing this situations is we are not changing. Still how many people in India can clearly speak out agains Islamic Terrorism. We are coward and its a fact. There is no wonder we are in this situation. Unless we learn to fight, this is not going to change. My friend once told me, the peroson gets respect due to 3 things. Knowledge , Power and Wealth. Thats why we Hindus are tought to worship Saraswati, Mahakali and Mahalakshmi. We are forgetting Mahakali. Once we start worshipping it , no one can speak agains us. Hope that day arrives soon

I Congratulate Rediff for publishing
by Vijay on Jul 24, 2006 07:00 PM  Permalink

such honest and bold article. Mr Shenoy writes facts and sharp in pointing to the root of the problem.

Al Qaeda is here in India now headed by Shahi Imam of the Jama Masjid in New Delhi and the UPA is setting a base for them.

Why India is not taken seriously
by Shilpi on Jul 24, 2006 06:58 PM  Permalink

Right on the mark! Liked the article a lot. While muslims are such fanatics organising terrorism all over the world, they still call for unity. But the rest of the Indians are just fragmented, 'tolerant' lots. Some politicians like Narendra Modi take major steps against muslims, but I have no idea how successful they are...
