Why no nation will take India seriously
by Gaurav Khemka on Jul 25, 2006 01:00 PM  Permalink

Bravo!!! Excellent article. Brings out the jist of the situation. Your comparision of London & Mumbai blasts is very apt and highlights the weakness of our so called great nation and cultured society. Your open views about Mulayam Singh Yadav and Imam of Jama Masjid are commendable.

Why no other country can take India seriuosly
by Indrajit Ghosh on Jul 25, 2006 12:39 PM  Permalink

It is not only the likes of Imam or Mulayam but our home grown communists sharing the spoils of power without reponisbilty have been at the forefront of making India weak ,Mr Biman BOse Secretary of CPIM West BEngal undoutebdtedly the strogest party unit in the counrty and Chairman of Left front claimed that the vlasts were actulally orchestrated by the differences of the two Thakre brothers Raj and Uddhav.Even Musharraf will not say that.Biman shed no tear for our country men killed in blasts but went on to declare a massive rally to be held protesting against Israeli invasion of Palestine and Lebanon.
No protest against the killing of innocent Indians in mUmbai.
I svote at the cost of country accepted norm anywhere in the world.
When our BSF jawans were killed and shown around like dead anmals by Bangladeshis refr cover pix of India today 3years back our external affairs minister kept mum to keep propriety against our smaller neighbour.

Not just politicians
by Nikhil P on Jul 25, 2006 12:33 PM  Permalink

Its not just politicians who are shying away from holding the real perpetrators responsible, but print media - especially times of india - are playing their part too. Since the attacks on mumbai, Times has printed a number of articles from secular individuals, calling NDA parties terrorists.

Religious leaders should be careful of what they say
by Vimal on Jul 25, 2006 12:22 PM  Permalink

Dear All,

I would just like to make a point that these religious leaders should be careful about what they say in this Religion blind country like ours! There are millions of people who just totally shut down their brains and stop thinking logically as soon as some of the religious leaders open their dirty mouth which 99.9999% of the time always indirectly talk bad about other religion and try to make the people of their own religion angry. This is not just true about the muslim leaders...Hindu leaders are no better at all.

We live in a world where every country which wants to progress and make its people rich and well to do are thinking on improving their economy (building infrastructure, attracting foreign investments and things like that). This is only the reason why we loose out to a small country like Singapore too which attracts so much of foreign investmets and is the second richest country in Asia (note their population is only 40 Lakh people).

The only reason why they manage to do that is

1. Superb governance

2. Anyone talking loud about religious things like one mentioned in this article is 100% jailed

3. People too want to improve.

4. PEOPLE THINK!!!
