Supersonic Missile
by Nilesh Vengurlekar on Jul 24, 2006 04:35 PM  Permalink

No doubt, this will be a mile stone for our Army and will help to build confidence.
We can think it as another technlogy leap towards progress. We should look forward to use the same technology in our basic infrastructure buliding such as Power Plant Generation, Nuclear energy research etc...
Then we can finaaly say that we are super power.

Should not have been disclosed.
by Parul Kumar Sharma on Jul 24, 2006 10:40 AM  Permalink

Indians make a jokers of themselves by spilling all this undone stuff.
Was it at all needed to talk about all this, even if India already had this?

Sounds gr8 but of no use
by gaurang patel on Jul 24, 2006 10:28 AM  Permalink

All this sound very gr8 & pretty to hear. But would the Indian Army ever use it in PRACTICAL? Would they fire some at the Terrorist camps in PAKISTAN OR POK? Do they have the heart to do that? Does the Politicians have enough courage to test missile in POK OR PAKISTANI TERRORIST CAMPS? IF not then the money spend is USELESS & Scientist time is WASTED. So just SMILE & we always do after an terrorist attack..

thanks for reading....

How about aborted GSLV & Agni III ?
by DharmendraGoel on Jul 24, 2006 10:00 AM  Permalink

PKL. July 24th, Monday, 2006.
Well the Brahmos cruise missile launchers as and when operationally deployed by the Artillery of Indian armed Formations as well as likely deployment in Battleships and Aircrafts should be reassuring to our security people...
Nevertheless, we have to think of N.Koreans Chinese, and even Paki challenges almost in a position to strike Indian cities from one end to the other by their ICBMS,Particulaly Chinese who with their rail links to Lahasa now constructed can easily devastate us at will!We have to do quick work to remedy the defects of GSLV4DC and Agni III that misfired and decidedly put us back in this state of Art Rocketry.D.Goel

SUPERSONIC
by venkataraman on Jul 24, 2006 09:45 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Such messages should be treated confidential and we should not expect publicity from these achievements. This will give room for our competitors to develop better equipment than us. We have to keep our strength confidential, for striking at an appropriate time.

Teeth of our technology
by Bhavesh Nayak on Jul 24, 2006 07:38 AM  Permalink

The detterents of our technological superiority will be of no use if we continue to produce spineless politicians. The missiles have to be used to be effective when needed. Lets get our basics right first and elect better people to our nation's high offices.

Indian Supersonic missile
by Pratick on Jul 24, 2006 05:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Kindly dont downgrade Indias capabilities by comparing it with Pakistan (.....if produced in large numbers it could tilt the conventional arms balance between India and Pakistan..... ) . This line only shows that how scared you are when you are making things Pakistan specific...Please think global.....

Supersonic Missiles will also make very high intensity of sound & that will make it expose to detection.....So supersonic speed in cruise missiles don't help always; So adequate stealth capabilities required to be included.

What king?
by avidnewsreader on Jul 24, 2006 02:21 AM  Permalink

This is idiocy, it wont be long before Pak is "gifted" supersonic missiles for the war on terror in NWFP. But these missiles will be pointed towards India.
