IAF denies LeT intrusion
by Ashok d Chhibbar on Jul 23, 2006 09:34 AM  Permalink

While the possibility of the alleged intrusion cannot be entirely ruled out it is quite improbable that such an intrusion would have gone unnoticed. There are various agencies which carry out verification of individuals joining the Armed Forces and, contrary to popular beliefs, they do a wonderful job of detecting the wrong person.Further, it appears that the press needs to exercise restraint in reporting such news because of the serious repurcussions it may have for the IAF or any other Defence Force for that matter. Sensationalising news is one matter and national interest and security is another. We need to be a bit more mature in our reporting.

IAF denies LeT intrusion
by sunil on Jul 22, 2006 05:27 PM  Permalink

Sir,
How much is the truth in the article is no doubt. But the truth about the infiltrations to the security wings of our country is not to be denied.Otherwise, such big incidents as in Delhi,Sramjeevi express,Varanasi and recently in Bombay, and the inteliigence had no inkling on these, or they tried to turn a blind eye until such things happen? Why?
It is not that who leaked it to the public matters a great, it is that what action has been taken by the government from Nov.' 05 till now matters the most.

RTI..RTI..RTI is what every citizen is asking for now.

Sunil

It is Congress
by Sameer on Jul 22, 2006 02:14 PM  Permalink

With congress at the helm of affairs I wouldnt be surprised if this report is true.. Congress has internalised the policy of inaction and appeasement.. Imagine the consequences if we wakeup one day to find our defence is under total control of Jehadis.. Are we doing somethin to prevent such grossly fatal threats???

LeT intrusion into IAF
by Satish on Jul 22, 2006 02:03 PM  Permalink

What more to expect from this spineless Government. intrusions into Navy & Army?

No point in believing the denials. 2500 Pakistanis who came to India for watching Cricket, went missing and the Police force of the entire country cannot trace them. Now the Government wants us to believe that it is tracking the movements of each and every person in the Armed Forces?

LeT intrusion in IAF

This is a very serious matters on two fronts:

1. How such serious confidential information leaded to media?

2. Government should not try to cover the entire matter as it relates to national security.
