Priyadarshini
by Ved Prakash Rawat on Jul 22, 2006 09:39 PM  Permalink

In this country, where you can get summons issued against the president by paying just few bucks to a lawyer, nothing positive can be thought of. The system has become dirty to its brinks. A sizeable chunk of MPs are with criminal background and more than are with dubious background. Passing of bills like Office of Profit, Anti demolition Act are the examples of what these so called leader of public can do to have their vested interest served. What can you expect from people who has come to politics only to earn his roji roti. No court can pronounce any verdict against such people, no police can take any action against them unless public itself wakes up and remove them from the power. This country of 1 billion people is unable to produce 500 honest persons.

Make India safe.

Priyadashani's case is one. There is the Jessica Lal's case. Jessica Lal was shot dead, in front of live and influential witnesses, by Manu Sharma. The Delhi police bungled up this case purposely. Just because Manu Sharma's family was politically influential. In Priyadarshini's case, it is a travesity of justice, when a judge says that 'he knows that he is the man who committed the crime'. And then he gives him the benifit of doubt. Santosh Kumar Singh, should not have been let off by the learned Judge.

sirs,

With deep sympathy and simmering anger I say that Law upholding and enforcing institutions have failed to punish the perpatrator of this heinous crime, who now is a practising lawyer. How we can get justice when criminals start wearing the black coat of justice. Here the court also cannot be exonerated from the responsibility Just by the statement that "Though I know he is the man who committed the crime, I acquit him, giving him the benefit of the doubt."The law book should be torn and calls for a thorough modification.

May God bless the " Judiciary" of India & the law-abiding society.
How can this criminal known as Santosh Kumar Singh is roaming freely in our Nation's capital. Our Law makers, court of law,and law enforcing machinery are rusted and we are simply praying to the Almighty to do the justice. We must have the courage to destroy such criminal if not individually, collectively.

Dear brothers n sisters, we should be there at the rally at India Gate at 4:30PM on July 23, 06 to fight for the cause and get justice for our late beloved sister, Priyadarshini. It can happen to any of us tomorrow, so lets unite today and throw the evil out of our society. If a 71 yr. old father can fight, why cant we for the betterment of our society?

I am frustrated by the way things are happening, frightened by the idea that one day it could be me or my friend or my family and then what happens? This has got to stop and for that the youth of our country should stand up firmly, time has come for us to prove our worth otherwise the society will reach a nadir where it will be another century before we try and pull ourselves out of this rust. I can imagine how priyadarshini parents might be feeling and what they r going thru. And imagine a criminal in the court of justice fighting for others.
