by Rajaraman on Oct 18, 2006 10:37 AM  Permalink

It was really heart rendering story. Considering the barbaric act i so much wish Indian judicial system should consider death penalty for such miscreants.

WAKE UP GOVT FOR PRIYADARSHINI
by KAMALIKA BANERJEE on Aug 10, 2006 09:42 AM  Permalink

Dear brothers and sisters..I was unable to participate in the rally for Priyadarshini but mentally with full heart I am with those friends and family of hers who are victims of injustice. We all want the judicial system of India to hear our voice and help us keep faith on it.Or is it waiting for Mr Mattoo's demise to let the case die down on its own and leave nobody to fight for Priyadarshini. Can't the Govt see her unhappy and ailing father running door-to-door for justice for her daughter. We are not known friends of her but when we read her gruesome story our heart aches like others so can anyone think of the pain her family is bearing for the last 10yrs....a father who have sacrificed his otherwise peaceful retired life for her dear daughter's cause. His last 10years have passed shuttling between Jammu and Delhi but in vain. Can he ever rest in peace without seeing the criminal being imprisoned for life.
We just can no more bear the fact that the criminal himself is fighting for other people to get justice.
It is an earnest request to the Judicial system of Govt of India to wake up and do something so that Priyadarshini can rest in peace in her grave.Help us save all our sisters.

Failing law\\\'s hands tied, socoiety should brand him a rapist and shun him or even do away with him. vishnudada

Be there for a Safer India
by malathi on Jul 26, 2006 01:06 AM  Permalink

Sad things like Priydharshani murders will keep on happening day after day in India. Today it was Jessica and Priya and tomorrow it will be our wifes or young daughters. We all know there is no law and no justice system in India. There is no need for all of us shouting aloud saying government is bad and justice system is corrupted. Whom are we going to blame. Only ourselves and we are the one don't care about elections are who get elected. We have two choices one, stand up work hard to get good people get elected OR have courage stand up and clean the whole system. As long as we don't do any thing it will keep on happening forever.

Justice denied.
by Ravi on Jul 25, 2006 10:01 AM  Permalink

The article is heart rending. The blatant travesty of law and justice by the powerful is horrendous, to say the least.
In a murder case such as this, the prosecutor is the state charged by law, to bring the perpetrator to book. In this case, the Police have bungled the investigation and made the prosecutions case weak. The perpetrator of the outrage had to be let off for lack of evidence.
There is something very wrong here. The Delhi Police had bungled the investigation of another case but had to be reopened due to a public outcry.
In the Mattoo case, powerful persons have scotched the investigation.
In true democratic manner the govt must recognise a kind of Citizen's Initiative to take up these cases in search of justice for the victim.

Priyadarshini mattoo
by mahaveer on Jul 24, 2006 08:51 PM  Permalink

A criminal killer like that of Prayadarshini should be put behind bars for life with hard labour. Even the investigating team protecting him needs to be prosecuted to send message loud and clear in their ranks and files.

The concerned judge did not show his courage eather.

I am with the cause always

WE ARE WAKING UP, SLOW LY.
by Ahmed Kabir Zaidi on Jul 23, 2006 09:54 PM  Permalink

India and China have long been considered as a

sleeping giants. China is already up and on a roll.

TODAY WAS OUR MOMENT OF TRUTH.

Actually, it was when Ms. Sonia Gandhi raised her

voice against the judgement in the Jessica Lal case.

Kattara's, Lal's, Mattoo's . . . . . K L M . . . . .

(all in a sequence)

Slowly and steadily we are all getting up from our

slumbers to unitedely cut through red-tapesim and

corruption. We are beginning to realise our potential.

I see a very strong and vibrant India ready to take

on the global leaders, which is now just a matter of

time.

WELL DONE INDIA.

P.S. (I sincerely feel that Mr. Santosh should be

made to go through brain mapping or lie detectors

rather than Mr.Rahul Mahajan.)
