Yes the govt is doing right
by Sreekant on Jul 20, 2006 12:45 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

HI,

Anything that the terrorist would use to communicate should be blocked. The Govt has taken a right decision in doing so.

THanks for the person who has taken the responsibility and have blocked the sites that spread terrorism.

Regards,

Sreekant.

Well Mr. Sreekant,

I don't buy your argumetn that Govt should stop everything that terrorist use.

Terrorist many things like.

1. Mumbai Local trains

2. Private Taxis(AksharDham)

3. Marriage & Temples

4. Airlines (Hijecking) and wat not..

So you mean the common man suffer.

Blocking the blog does means they have not anyother convienint means of communicaiton.

And did govt reached to any conclusion after so many days.

How sure they can say blogs are used by terrorist, and the the BSNL lines??

Poor decesions by all means.

This govt failed to do anything at all.

1. They can't cotrol the prices.

2. Mumbai water logging problem is forgotten due to blast.

Another blast will make govt loose the track of this blast..

To hell with their intelligence and governance.

CD.

by ganesh on Jul 20, 2006 12:44 AM  Permalink

They dont do what they suppose to do and they do all they dont suppose to do. They are suppose to be good at Intelligence and make atleast attempt to stop the terrorist attact, which they dont do. But all these Blogs helps Citizens to awake India and Indians to know how to defend themselves, which they wanted to CURB.
Dont we have right to express and point out the inability of Govt??
THIS IS ATTROCIOUS.

there should always be a limit on freedom of speech. suppose your friend says that "i find your mom sexy, pls arrange a meeting of ours"...then will u be able to justify your friend's statement... there r issues that are very dear and close to people, which shouldn't be pricked upon beyond a certain level.

Ofcourse India have rights to blocked the site. But it is unfair that if terrorist are mis using the blogger all the site blogs should be blocked?? where else it affect the SEO process for a working class individual.

Is Govt Right in Blocking Sites
by Thinking BlogReader on Jul 20, 2006 12:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think govt has right to restrict sites which don\'t filter certain kind of messages with key hate contents and others. I certainly am not in favor of blocking whole of the site. India is a free country and it is our right in democratic fashion to express our views and to be heard.

This government goes for the short cut
by Raj on Jul 20, 2006 12:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am very much ashamed of this government since the day it got power. Every now and than I hear some bad news in the media which is related to this government.

I fail to understand as to how banning the blog will prevent another bomb blast? The shocking part is that the government and all securalists refuses to utter the word 'JEHADIS' after this bomb blast. It means that they are refusing to accept the danger to the Indian society because they don't want to risk their vote bank.

RE:This government goes for the short cut? Y not If its going to save lives.
by kalpesh Patel on Jul 24, 2006 12:03 PM  Permalink
I vote for the government to ban certain sites. If it saves lives I'd
completely go wid it. be it blogs, be it chat sites, be it emails or
portals. Like everybody knows India as a country has a whole lot of
issues with security. eg. anyone can walk into churchgate station
with-out his bags getting checked. even if he's not a terrorist and is
carrying harmful substances like acids, keroscene or petrol.. no one
checks. with so many loopholes in security every little measure will
help in avoiding a 7/11. We should sacrifice a bit of our freedom
some times to be 'secure'. and help the government in doing so.(even
help the govenment monitor some sensitive blogs, mails and portals.
