Counter Terrorism
by vadan on Jul 19, 2006 09:41 AM  Permalink

As an old phrase says " You will get what you got, if you do what you did".
We have never learnt from our past experience. In Dec, 2002, Vile Parle train blast occurred by placing bombs on luggage stand. We did not learn or did not care to learn from that blast. We paid prize on 7/11. Terrorists just placed their bomb on same luggage stand and conveniently escaped.
As a common man, I suggest following changes our society should do:
1) Remove the luggage stand on trains and cover the seats of bus and trains completely so that no one can place any thing beneath it.
2) Educate people to observe fellow passengers and check beneath of the seat before he/she sits.
3) Sniffer dogs should be always available at public places as train stations, bus stations, Malls etc. May be we can train our Stray dogs to be sniffer dogs.
4) Seal the airports immidiatly after tregedy.
5) Supply sketches of all possible terrorists to Railway canteen staff, bus conductors, drivers, hotel waiters etc. They can be vital informers since before attack Terrorists do visit targeted areas many times to plan out the attack in detail.

Why not Mumbai
by gajanan on Jul 19, 2006 09:10 AM  Permalink

Why not Mumbai? In fact saying Bombay looks horrible after 1993 and 2006 . Atleast you will remember " Mum" meaning your Mom (mother) rather than "Bomb" , which has become a nightmare word to all in the world, especially to Mumbaikars and Mumbaikarnis.

grow up
by sanman on Jul 19, 2006 08:56 AM  Permalink

stop being naive. you know and everybody knows that terrorists will keep killing when they feel they can get away with it. appeasement is not the answer, and will only whet the terrorist appetite for blood-letting.

the need of the hour is to rally against our corrupt media, since they have been both the messengers for this awful message of appeasement, and they have also been the bodyguards of our corrupt leftist-led govt.

blog on, boys and girls!

Were you as much as you are right now that time?

Hey Jan Sanghi,

Were you as much concerned about "innocent" people of Gujarat who were slaughtered as a part of Sangh pogrom? Come out clean and express your views. Say what's inside your hearts and filthy minds. Atleast these guys whom you call "so-called seculars" have courage to say their minds... You are bunch of cowards.

May god bless india

Mumbai: Why I am so angry
by Mitzy on Jul 18, 2006 09:13 PM  Permalink

We feel numb & useless too...yes and angry that we are so impotent and cant stop the pain & suffering.. all we can do is pray that better sense prevails and those that have been led astray by self-proclaimed 'retribution' squads... I asked myself, WHY is this HAppening?

Then, suddenly I am reminded of what I read about Zidane's action somewhere..."the provocation was too much for him. He snapped and did something uncharacteristic because he felt victimized'...

Have these people who have become mad been victimised, and so they see this as the only way forward?

Let us all resolve to be more conscious and tolerant of those who are different from us... remind ourselves that they are human too.... then perhaps, Peace will come as a soothing balm to a stunned humanity
