The author prefers Bombay and not Mumbai. In the context of times , the word Bomb sends shiver in your spine. The word "Mum" makes you think of good food and affection. The unianimous vote would be for Mum. Rgds Gajanan
I feel too much talking is going on about mumbai's spirit and solidarity, taking us mumbaikars for granted. Concrete action is needed or the reaction would be out of control.
"Time may take away the edge of my/our anger." Time cannot take away the edge of my anger over these and past cowardly terrorist acts but builds up the anger which will certainly explode one day. It would be a fight to the finish. Aar ya paar.
I respect your feelings,u just wasted time and could have saved manier lives instead of thinking this. if i ever u i would have done that and would have though like u later

Time Wasted you say Vatsan!!!!... Have you ever been present at a place where there was such a disaster and mayhem!!... What are you sitting and doing reading this then.. come and help the people who are in the Hospitals here now.... The writer here is trying in her unique way to try and create whatever awareness she can in us... And all you say is Time Wasted!!!...
I can see things are changing and we should not always be complecent in saying that the government won't do anything. I am confident that with growing economic clout will come our global bargaining position and also Indans will start taking pride in being Indians and value life. We as Indians know who are behind these acts. I am positive that without doubt the agencies are working overboard to set things right. We also cannot let their efforts be belittled. Also I do not appreciate the view of chaotic government hospitals. If you were to ask the doctors and the medics there, they would tell you so much of which you may not have thought. I have doctor friends who work in government hospitals and I know how and why they are not chaotic hospitals as they may appear. Its also surprising that u dont like the orignial name of our city Mumbai while you are happy with the imported British version of Bombay? why just because it sounds foreign? This time I salute the government agencies who are working towards helping all those affected by the blast. I also take this opportunity to salute my fellow brotheren in Mumbai who have to battle daily in their lives and yet find time to smile.
The common refrain in most articles I read is that "people don't care because they are unaffected" And that's the sad part. Most people just don't care about others.
Yours was a heart touching experience and slowly we see changes in the outlook of the Indians. We are tolerant that does not mean we are cowards, we rose to the situation and given our best. Somebody is testing our silence and threshold..who is this..if you see most of the terrorists are from Islam faith..and I had very good Muslim friends from Iran, Malaysia who are above religion and they say that the religion is only for individual spiritual growth and not for persuading somebody to follow something which he or she does not have faith..then who are these persons who are terrorising others in the name of religion..have they understud rightly..have they read their spiritual books and what is the message..to kill some one..I am person from Hindu faith but have read Quran and Bible and also some Zorast philosophy..no where it is written that you kill others or convert them..then who are these people who are misinterpreting the words..does the earth..sun..water..is different to different religions.. only names are different in different languages and hence god or religion is also perceived differently..let us come together and fight the common enemy of humanity come together
