I am really happy that our Government knew that such thing will happen in a record time of 50 years ,atleast they are able to gather some information. And I will not be surprised if it takes them another 20 years to plan an action against such activities.
Has anyone ever noticed the lightining speed at which the traffice police and their squads pick up wrongly parked Vehicles. The effeciency is absolutely admirable.Two wheelers are whisked into the waiting vans in less than a minute. Vehicles are constantly doing the rounds in search of badly/wrongly parked vecihces. But come an accident/mishap or any serious incident, there no help to be found. No lightening squads to carry the wounded or help the injured. Why then are there no such efficient squads to help in medical emergencies, and people have to resort to carrying the wounded and dead them selves in make shift stretchers. Could it be that there is no money to earn from providing a service that would help the public. It really seems like our tax-payers money is only spent in "public" services that generate an income for the so called guardians of the people.
I dont know why is the BJP blaming the UPA government??
When the BJP was in power the parliament itself was attacked. So it should realize that the government cannot do much about these things. The enemy is getting stronger and stronger. we should stant behind the government and support whatever action it takes.
However, it is easy to blame the intelligence agencies. We cannot overlook the fact that even the famed CIA and FBI had absolutely no clue about the 9/11 incident.

Ram madhav has hit the nail on the head by pointing out the facts.I agree with his observations.Every railway station is supposed to have a fire engine and decent Amubulance van to rush the deceased .
In Spain or LONDON this is not the way the serious injured were lifted.Iam suprised sites like Rediff do not want to focus on such vital issues pertaining to Emergency preparedness.Do you realise many of the injured who were taken in bedsheets and Rusty stretchers actually become infected.The local police station should be in control in such situation.
Iam reminded of the excellent job of Mr.Radhakrishnan the District collector in tsunami hit coastal Nagappatinm whose work on the immediate aftermath came for special praise.He gave leadership and focus to relief efforts on the fateful night and the following week.We need such role models .
Sites like Rediff seem to assume that they have the right to edit views .Barkha (NDTV) defintely did not behave this way.She was on the beaches of Nagapattinam with in 12 hours and pointed out many issues in Relief and Distribution which was very brave and positive/constructive.
this is a good article,and this reitrates the facts that most know about these issues.but there is a big gap between knoledge and action,in india.
i would like to add that one of the most shamful issue is the absence of ID cards. in most of the developed counties and even in latin counties there is an id for a person. in india there is nothing. one fine day maulana azar with a clean shaved beard, can come to india by a pakistan bus or through bangladesh and he can roam scott free telling he is an indian and his name is Shre ram!

Mr. Madhawan is very smart while calculating the weight of shame and it after effects, again here the problem in his attitude if terrorism have any religion like Islam or jihad, then what is that which happen in naxalites area is that Hindu terrorism, what was that in nandedwad Maharashtra when was Bajrang Dal found preparing explosives is that was Brahmanism, what Army do in Kashmir with innocent that is Army terrorism, Mr. Madhawan has to accept that Muslims are as much Indian as other citizens of India if we can live here then we are ready to die here also, but please turn back the pages of history and find any incident that proves killing of almost 25 corores people, Indian Muslims with there all population is a reality and no one can deny or underestimate their rights in India, Other wise result will be worst,
I play god to give good sense to terrorists so that they bomb big political functions organised by pseudosecular parties and communists, then we can really excuse terrorists and support not punishing them for being minority. Why kill innocent hindus? Pl. go ahed and kill all pseudo secular hindus and then that way mother India may really pardon all terrorist acts. And we patriots for once won't be very upset. There is no reason for the two countries to exist seperately in view of the huge Muslim population in India. Partition, itself was a blunder. As long as these two countries remain seperated, Pakistan will try to provoke communal clashes and promote terrorism in India. If the majority of the Muslims in India and Pakistan love peace they should make out a case for reunification. Congress is meddling with the country's security for decades. The way we meddled with Bangladesh in 1972 and thoughtlessly gave back every thing to Pakistan without even settling territorial issues, stamped us as "FOOLS" among the international community. Adding insult to injury Congress Govt's are very permissive towards Bangladeshi Migrants to get Minority votes. All our cities are infested with these Migrants. There is no need to say that they can be easily used by LET and other militant outfits across the border. A party which has Pseudo secular policies can never deliver on matters of security. If you ask whether BJP is the alternative, definitely "NO". They also react crudely and do not have a strategy for handling terrorism. God alone can save this country. Perhaps he finds us unworthy of saving.
I fully agree & endorse what Mr. Ram Madhav has quoted. We mumbaikar needs some sort of extreme tragic incidences to happen to show the humantarian aspect of our mindset otherwise we all mumbaikars are heartless machines earning money. The 11/7 is not the solitary or the last expirience , we all are going to face it some or other time in future untill we will be ruled by the cowards not having enough courage to kill & throw away all those - terrorist, their supporters& the nations backing them - which is known to everybody. It is now high time to know that who has come to your neighborhood & what are his/her anecdotes. Any new person seen in our vicinity must be investigated.
The most shameful act of our so called spirited mumbaikar was despite of the railway inquiry commission for bomb blast sat fo three consecutive days - only one person came forward to testify. When we had more than 200 dead & almost a 1000 injured there must be 10,000 + people who witnessed it & they could not find time & daring to come forward & speak provide some bit of information they have . It was only Pretie Zinta who came forward to testify the interference of underworld in bolywood. We must learn
