The author may be right but.....
by harish on Jul 15, 2006 04:11 PM  Permalink

Yes,
The author ashraf may be right in every word,, but his claims looks like statements. They are not including the cause of the issue or the possible solution. Why anybody is scared?? Why do police patrol when some incident happens, only in their community?? The question has its answer! Do u think a hindu or christian will join simi or jihadi for that matter?? Not a 0.001% chance. Hence if the police needs a clue relating the org., definetly the concerned community is combed !! Its not a new thing. Why do u expect the police to comb hindus for varanasi blasts?? For blasts in delhi, for which a muslim terrorist outfit claimed responsible?? for 93 bombay blasts and many more,, where the respective muslim terrorist outfits claimed responsible. For these many wrong things going wrong on their side, the next mistake is immediately suspected on them. This is the nature of humanbeings i suppose.

Response!

The religious fanatism is undoubtedly the highest here & the records show even the masterminds are qualified & educated. All terrorists are insanes & need to be dealt toughly. If no leads are left it's difficult to probe thouroughly as a protective cordon is accorded by unanimous whole. It's the social duty of condemning this dastardly act & weed out such evils.Rather than coming out in a lame defensive something + ve & effective to be exhibited to the world that the priority listing of respect is Mankind/Country/Region & last is the religion.Religion should be a tool for cultural upbringing a legendary for emulation.

Wt muslims ahould do.
by Radhakrishna Kulkarni on Jul 15, 2006 03:23 PM  Permalink

I agree with the Syed Firdaus Ashraf's article about common muslims thinking during such days. We cannot deny most of muslim terrorists attach Hindus sacred places and hindus majority areas. We cannot compare these outfits with Naxalites. Naxalites never attached on temples hurting hindus sentiments and they never triggered any communal violence and their marxism philosophy is entirly different from jihadism. So its irrational to compare naxlites and islamic terrorism.
I suggest every muslim to read book by Shahid Rafiq Zakharia saab's WHERE INDIAN MUSLIMS HAVE GONE WRONG. And even give suggests wht way muslims have to change their mental setup this 21 century and throwing Mughal,Nizam or any Navabi days thinkings. And they should change with time to live peacefully with Hindus. I feel madrasa's and Muslims educational institutions, universities should adopt his views.
Hindus cannot pay there lives. They are paying there lives since 1100 years. Prof VS Naipaul says INDIA(Hindus) are
awakening, this is sponteneous, this force cannot be stopped. So in such conditions why shuould not INDIAN muslims change with time and adopt Zakarias saabs views???? Then only peace will come. peace

Why the common Muslim is scared
by Harsha on Jul 15, 2006 03:21 PM  Permalink

I totally does not agree with Rokadia.
As all the muslims know that Hindus are of peace l;oving nature and have been supressed by all other communities in their own country.
Muslims, in India particulary are converts from Hinduism ,this includes even Jinnah , either due to fear or force or love have forgotten their roots and started being as different species .
Even Kashmiris the large chunk of Pundits got converted to Islam and are oppressing their own brothers.

Once if any Hindu revolts then the Muslims feel that they do not have any equal rights. But they all know that India is the only country where Muslims have equal rights and are prosperous and have free will.

Let all my Muslim brothers become part of the country and have the same respect towards the country as they have towards their religion, then the fear of being a Muslim would never be in any one's mind.

Fear is the language of terrorism
by Puneet on Jul 15, 2006 02:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I can understand and agree with many aspects of this article. There is something to be said about the irresponsible use of language and coverage in the Indian Media. However, the mentality to blame evertything on 'muslims' is a world trend right now. It is very onfortunate that we are unable to judge that the terrorism is not about killing people. It about making them live in fear. We can fight terrorism only by fighting our ignorance and overcome our own fear and insecurities.

I'd totally agree with Rokadia.

Our country really has major problems.
1) Castism
2) Religion
3) Poverty
4) Illiteracy
5) Corruption

And on top of that we illude ourselves that the
country is rising up like a super power.

We make common assumptions based on single
facts/events by one single person/group.

And why only talk Muslims, we have problems way
before that. Don't we have castism ?
Are people from different states respected/honoured
the same in other states ?

And I don't see that changing. The above mentioned
points are the only ones upon which the people and
politicians capitalize to lead.

Majority of the people don't ever think about India
as "My Country". All only think is "Me".
Until that changes, we'll keep being screwed both by
in-house people and others.
