PM Visit not required!!!
by shan on Jul 14, 2006 07:55 PM  Permalink

I dont see any reason of any of high profile personnel visit to any of these spots which always diverted the main issue to security of one person. PM or any other high profile leader should not visit the site of incident which needs additional security or attention for them. they really dont need to visit the the site, they should pay attention by sitting in thier offices. they should ensure medical services and other services reaching to victims instead of visiting the places.

Why is the PM coming?
by Aniruddha on Jul 14, 2006 01:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why are all these politicians rushing to Mumbai like bees towards honey? Someone please tell them to stop taking political milage out of this situation. For once stop thinking about votes and think about the country. Sonia, Lallu, Shivraj Patil and now Manmohan they are causing a lot of hardships to the already stressed public and security forces because of their so called VVIP status and the unnecessary protection that goes with it. In fact our politicians do not need this type of protection because the terriorist will never do the good work of cleaning india of the corrupt politicians so these stupid politicians can be rest assured that their life will never be in danger. Its us the common people who will always suffer. What India needs now is the great Lal Bahadur Sashtri or Netaji Subash Chandra Bose or Sardar vallabbhai Patel or Lokmanya Tilak or Bhagat Singh Rajguru or Sukhdev rather than the spineless jokers sitting in power. So Mr. PM please go back and sit in Delhi and try travelling like the common man if u want to pay any visits. otherwise just sit inside your tightly guarded house like a coward that u all politicians are

Security at PM's visit in Mumbai
by Punit on Jul 14, 2006 01:34 PM  Permalink

Either your news is funny or it is shocking to know that PM's visit to any place within India lacks high level security. (that's what your news forces to think.)

High security in Mumbai for PM
by Amit Kumar on Jul 14, 2006 01:03 PM  Permalink

Nothing new in this. Indian PMs always go anywhere amidst tight security only. And little wonder that the administration there in Mumbai will leave all work and gear up for the so-called "VIP" movement. Mr. Singh will undoubtedly go some of the hospitals and his visit will do more bad than any good. As usual, the Police will get an excuse to harass the people in the name of security. No wonder if they drive the relatives of the patients from the hospital premises itself. Roads will be barricaded. Traffice will come to standstill.

I dont understand, what is the need for such visits after such calamities. These politicians will do no better by being on the scene. They are as useless there as they are in the Parliament. I believe that the Indian system, by definition, is meant to harass common people and only serve the influential lot.

After the visit, will the Hon'ble PM will given an assurance to all the Indians, that this will be last blast?

If that is not possoble, he need not visit Mumbai - fool the people. He can combfortably issue a well written statement - after getting approval from the Police man (USA). and watch TV.

Prime Minister in Mumbai
by Vasudev Potti on Jul 14, 2006 12:28 PM  Permalink

It's extremely disappointing that the PM decides to visit the injured 3 days after the horrific blasts. Do Mumbaikars really need such visits ? Also the other day, his address to the nation was fairly meek....we can surely do with a more dynamic PM - and let Manmohan manage economics.
