I do not understand why the goverment is just playing with our sentiments..people when they leave home today are not sure whether they will return home safely...when we have one of the world's largest army and also being a nation thrice bigger than pakistan , its a shame that we live in such fear... We can only be frustrated at the government ..but sometimes i feel where has the pride for our country gone with these power mongers!!...have the politicians of our country gone to such low levels just for money and power??? Dont they have some kind of patriotism and love for the country..we only have them talking of Caste based politics and reservation..which only lowers this great country's heritage... No wonder...we would be thought of as a bunch of impotents by a nation not even worth bothering about!!

This will keep them from thinking of other things like how to bomb India, bcos their stomachs will always be hungry & will tell their brains to hunt for food, not hindus! Incorporate Nepal, Bangla, Bhutan, & whole J&K into India, thereby terrorists won't be able to operate from these soils. Be always prepared for war, with China, and other Islamic nations. According to the British, being ready for war is one of the best ways to maintain peace. Take the example of Israel & go after terrorists into their own country, even if it is Saudi. When Arab jihadists can come to Kashmir & setup AlQueda network, can't we track them back & hunt them down right in front of the Saudi Barbaric King? Severe all ties with Islamic countries (Middle Eastern countries). They need to be taught a lesson. We don't need Saudi's oil. There are many non-islamic countries producing oil. Besides oil will last only another 30 years or so. So let us start looking for alternatives to oil from now itself. The Army & Police should be given a free hand in dealing with terrorists. Shoot at shight orders should be given. In fighting "Take no prisoners"
It is really painful & disturbing that even after so many terror attacks all round our country particularly mumbai & delhi, we have not learnt anything out of it. Our govt. did least even poorest nation in this world would have done. Now, whenever there is some suspicion on any militant group, people start defending them & ask for concrete proof. Can somebody tell us that Osama Bil Laden or any of his group members were seen bombing the world trade centre. Still, USA took strong action aganist them. After 7/7 blast in UK, we have hardly heard of any such incidents there. But unfortunately & to our trauma, these kind of incidents occur in our country very often.
The only way to handle this situation is to act tough like the way Isreal is handling its internal security. Our political leaders are more concerned about their vote bank. People start complaning abt the misuse of rule. Now, there is hardly any rule in the world which can not be mus utilised. Then should we have no laws in this earth?
We all need to be vigill and come forward so that we can handle this act of horror in a more effective way.
I agree with the views and sentiments of the writer. The article is well written. US, post 9/11, has formulated a homeland defence strategy and is acting as per its tenets. It has prevented its people from any more terrorist attacks.India does not have even a semblence of a strategy to combat this menace, though it has been bearing its brunt since 60s. It would be worth while to formulate an effective strategy and give it to the Govt for implementation.
