Agree with the idea, but look at this politician....
by Aravind on Jul 14, 2006 01:39 PM  Permalink

Look at todays news papers. A well known politician started saying SIMI is not behind the blasts - when police and our intelligence agencies said SIMI as one of the main suspect in Mumbai blasts. Why should a politician give such statements when major investigation still going on in full swing? It is very clear that he wants political mileage from a particular community. As long as Indian citizen vote such disgusting politicians to power, forget about flighting terrorism, we can never come up in any field.

I agree whole heartedly with U ..Later WE must also "take out" the corrupt officials/politicians who have allowed this to happen..The explosives, couldn't have entered India or entered and not be detected, if some govt. official, had to do his job well..

India needs to be ruthless
by Binduraj on Jul 14, 2006 12:27 PM  Permalink

Well Said! I wish we had more Indians like you. I was watching TV and found Mr Mulayam the CM of UP is blindly supporting a banned organization. How can a CM support an organization which is banned by Centre? Is UP belongs to Indian state?

A TV channel show a spoke person from the same Banned organization addressing the media, the other day 200 died and is the government not capable of arresting these so called chief of Banned organizations?

The first thing should be done is dismiss Mulayam government. How these politicians do not understand the sentimental of people of Mumbai? Will Mr Mulayam repeat those words if his son or daughters body were blown into pieces?

Wake up INDIA, at least now
by Hemant Deshpande on Jul 14, 2006 12:25 PM  Permalink

Hi,Shishir
Intensity of your thoughts have touched me.I totally agree. What is really important is to ensure our strong opinions are conveyed and recognised. simply exchanging notes will not help.

While watching the sequence of events that followed the blast, I felt as if I was watching the National Geography channel. Speeches that rarely mean nothing, VIP visits and we are back to our routine.

We have virtually brushed aside the sorrows of those who lost their dear one, probably only earning member of the family.
We must not forget that our national pride and image is at stake.

Let's not ignore this proxy war and wait for series of attacks to follow.

It's time to act. Make sure our rulers act, and act decisively.

Regards
Hemant Deshpande

India needs to send a strong message
by Nitin on Jul 14, 2006 12:14 PM  Permalink

I totally agree with the writer. India needs to be bold in its response to this type of act. Acts like this only make us miserable and portray ourselves as a weak country.

We need to deal terrorism with a strong will. Just wipe out the people from earth who have committed this heinous crime. Terrorists believe in guns and they deserve gun as justice for them. This is the only way to treat them back.

This is too much for Mumbai as well as for the whole country. We need to stand and say that we r going to do something. Otherwise these types of crimes against humanity will become a norm. The time to act is now. We should take a lesson from Israel.

Agree
by Rajesh K C on Jul 14, 2006 12:10 PM  Permalink

This article gave words to my thoughts and feelings. Israel has created havoc in middle east for the past few weeks just because few of its soldiers are kidnapped. Thats how they value their citizens.

Here our govt has made india a joke. The 'SAB CHALTA HAI' attitude has allowed even minnows like Bangladesh to take pot shot at us.

God save India.

Well Expressed !!
by Biplb on Jul 14, 2006 12:03 PM  Permalink

I really liked this article. Our policy and decision makers must rethink what these events would lead to, if a crackdown does not happen soon over the terrorist and fundamentalist network.
