I fully agree with you. Even the teachings of the Gita, shows that one should do its duty towards its citiziens and not worry about the future consequences. Even Arjuna was filled with Dilema before the Mahabharat War and it was Krishna who guided him. May be our leaders should read it and act.
First all political leaders who support terrorists organisations directly or indirectly for vote banks to be shot dead irrespective of to which party he belongs as these are the so called leaders root cause for all the damages.Even under such situation leaders try to create simpathy with some community even after knowing their goals to see that their vote bank is improved.
I wonder Mr.Narayanan the National security advisor is reading all these columns or sleeping. It is a disgrace to have such people without any guts in sensitive position. No imagination or evaluation of strategy and tactical planning or rapid movement of strike force and commando operation at midnight.
Modern technology allows so may options and alternatives.I wonder whether the likes of Arjun singh in our buraecracy is preventing the RAW and IB from decisive action. It appears that some force at the top most level is preventing offensive action by the rapid action group .One week is more than sufficient to plan and now is the time to act.I hope the govt is not suffering from Information paralysis.
It is rumoured that part of the indecision on the part of Sonia (note not Manmohan) is the need to convince the DMK and Communists who are pro-Muslims and anti HINDU .There is a feeling that they are tying the govt hand.
I think patriotic forces in the country need to launch a movement forcing the govt to use their brains rather than make useless statements which means nothing to us.A thorn has to be taken out by a thorn and we want revenge for the future of our chidren.
Dear sir, I could'nt agree more with Mr. Shishir Bhate. Every word mentioned in his gutsy write up makes sense. After hearing what the PM had to say and also after seeing how the media focussed merely on the bravery and courage of the "Aam adami" of Mumbai,I was wondering what is wrong with us as a country. What kind of a country are we, that we focus more on the common man's efforts, than on the ruthless action plan(If at all we have one) that India would follow immediately after these highly damaging Blasts. For me the crux of the matter, as so rightly put by the writer is that "Just because the citizens are brave and spirited doesn't mean they have to keep suffering".It seems we just don't mind getting hit again & again & again. Loss of human life, lack of preparedness, lack of guts & will power to act strongly, incapability to give a befitting reply to the agressor, image of being a weak and impotent nation it appears does not bother us any more. I am sure till the time vote bank politics is considered the be all and end all of our so called system of governance, there is absolutely no threat to all those who want to harm us.As of now it is like waiting for the next blast.
The biggest mistake lies with this generation. there is hardly anybody in this country who would read this article or watch the terror campaign and fight against it. everybody is busy making tons & tons of money and leaving this country for a safer place on earth. we vote for those people who have been ruling this country for 60 yrs now have only have ripped this country apart and done nothing else. I guess we have become so used to get ruled by phirangs that everytime and everywhere we ahve such nonsense people ruling us.
why only mumbai !!!! the entire northeast ( which has been suffering from natural disastars as well as militancy at the same time, and i dont think there is any news that anybody gets to know about that place......nobody is bothered), kashmir( which has been a target all the time since independence, theres a blast everyday) and the now the important capitals of this country.
Why ??? why cant we do something about it. Even i m only writing. but why cant we do something. what if someday we get killed or something happens to our children. we need to make this country a safer and beautiful place to live in.
