Hello, the deaf guys up there, atleast you may read it. How could you think, even in the silliest of your dreams that you can make a man with a gun and inhumane ambitions, to sit, talk and walk out calmly without taking something which is valuable to you. If he has picked up the gun to achieve his motive, which is a hard decision to make (unless you are insane enough), then mind you, its hard to alter him, and here we are not talking about one person, they are instigated from people beyond your reach, so atleast, show them that though they are earning more by getting involved in these heinous crimes against us, but there is a penalty far severe than just being slayed out simply. Torture them to death as brutally as some of our neighbours did to our martyrs, that my dear fellas would keep the youth away from getting involved in these crimes. But what can we expect from a government, which is not banning tobacco products, just for fear of loss of revenue to take such a bold step. Sadly, all these condemns would go calm again after a day or two, when media diverts its attention to something else. Its disdainful, we the literate Indians.
Shishir Bhatte please it is people like u who create the terrorist in the first place See the state of Israel the most ruthless of all constantly living in fear left to peolple like u we will also land up in the same state.
The problem is there are so many terrorists still at large like the ones who demolished the Babri Masjid the ones who burnt Mumbai in the riots of 1992 1993 the ones who bombed Mumbai in March 1993 the ones who burnt Gujarat why dont u talk about being ruthless to those who are still running scot free too scared to talk of them as they are in positions of power or are u part of them.
You believe that evil should never go unpunished - and I couldn't agree more. However, the truth is that it does go unpunished its happened in the past and it will happen in the future. We do not live in a perfect world and no system so far has been absolutely efficient in countering the ills that plague human existence.
I find your suggestion of fighting terrorism with what appears to be terrorism, absurd. I am not proposing we take an ideological stand and continue to be the 'mature, gentile, peaceful soft state we are known as. And by no means will a severe punishment prove to be a deterrent to terrorist activity. Au contraire, it may trigger a response far worse than what we have witnessed.
Attacking the Indian government in failing its people and its apparent failure in clamping down on terrorism is highly unjustified. The nature of terrorism is such that it is almost impossible to predict.
What I do agree with is the need to take pragmatic and decisive action, un-fuelled by extreme emotion. This may be by planning forthcoming actions whilst assessing possible risks and possible outcomes along with being open to finding diplomatic solution.
jaihind... to be told for any mission that we go now , it is time that we silent through leader who take place in the wellbeing of the enemy who say we have to sit and talk and have friendly way , no way we have to challenge those who think we are not strong but weak state been the mighty of the world or solider are maybe not well built but have the passion to smash the enemy with a blow, not think that a tall man can kill all but to be honest if a short man blow a fist on his ball he is dead for sure. itis like that now we give them limit time to clean the house if their find it difficult we help if their dont we do it outself let the world say anything about human right shit to them their are not facing the crisis it is we common working class face the problem we are the one who is fighting the terrorist not the leader who go around with police and bodyguard it is common man who has no security he is alone always so we have to think ourselves do we need to live or we have to die if we want to live we have to fight our own battle if we want to die follow the bogus and selfish leader who will not give u bread or butter but only pain and agony , and dead stop voting leader nostatus
Good article but I can't help think but what's similarity with between Christ and Krishna here ?
Christ meekly suffered injustice in the hands of his oppressors whereas Krishna destroyed the oppressors of his time.
So I wonder why did you bring Krishna and Christ in same plate ? I hope it is not due to any inferiority complex that a Hindu seems to have these days so he includes gods from other religions also.
Very well written. I think, we Indians, for too long, have allowed these divisivee forces to commit atrocities against our peace-loving citizens. History is full of invasion and oppression of this great nation by these violent forces. We need to stand up and defend the land and its people. I don't think people at the helm, the shameless politicians, are capable of doing anything in that direction. It's up to people to be more aware of their right to be protected and make these leaders act. We have to take the example of another great nation -USA. We need to have partnership with US in countering terrorism and use their expertise at every level. Public in US is very proactive in demanding better security and Government ably responds to that. Indian leaders have to recognize that. Enough of empty promises. Wouldn't a minister be provided with utmost security if there is a threat against his family? Why not common man?
We have suffered, accepted and forgiven for too long. Any more inaction is FOOLISH, COWARDLY and SUICIDAL.
India NEEDS to reply back to terrorists with a BANG. We need to show them that India is a nation of 1.1 billion people. If you hurt one of us, we will hurt 10 of yours. We are under attack and its a war.
Please declare war on terrorists - Mr Manmohan Singh. Or resign. We need a leader there not a sulken pacifist praising courage of people to suffer. SUFFER. BULL SHIT. We do not want to suffer any more. We want to respond. Read the lips of Indians and act. This is the moment.
Mr. Manmohan Singh is a weakling as the PM and does not inspire any respect. And then the Madam, the extra constitutional authority, to whom he has to report. What inspiration does an average Indian get from her in such a grave situation? Mr. Pronob Mukherjee as the Defense Minister, makes one laugh. The vote bank politics , which have eroded our country's potency. Mr.Mulayam Singh Yadav gave a clean chit to the activities of SIMI in UP. The extent of corruption that has penetrated all fields of Indian politics. What ruthlessness do you expect from such leaders Mr. Shisher Bhate? It is a miracle that Mumbaites have shown the courage and valour in face of such odds.
