Its time we stop talking and hit them , these fiends who do not consider poor unarmed men women and childeren as other human beings. What a shame. I dread the future where our childeren are perpetually going to live in dread and will always be looking at their neighbour with suspicion instead of a welcome with open arms which has been drilled into us for ages.My eyes blur with tears of helplessness for the poor innocents who have paid for our lack of judgementin still considering a devil next door as afreind when all he needs is total ruthlessness in dealing.
Shishir Bhate is right in his choice of the title and almost all that follows. The main thing I jib at is dragging in the name of Christ who apparently advocates turning the other cheek along with downright misleading statements, if not lies like hellfire awaits the outsiders, and there being no other way to god except through him: hardly the stuff of derring-do.
As Shishir rightly states we have stories, sayings and proverbs in their millions to choose from, all we need are a handful of leaders with the verve, foresight and valour of such as Jhansi ki Rani, Subhash Chander Bose and Bhagat Singh and I for one will re-enlist in the army. Jiten
Amazing article which exactly captures the feelings of young minds I see around. How long are we going to fight(?) terrorism by mere words. Its time for retalization. Is our army just a showpiece for republic day parade ?
We deserve this ghastardly violence. We cant just blame the police or intelliegence. Last bomb attack was 13 years back. No criminal has been punished and the case still drags on. What is the judiciary doing? Top polic brass is blaming the SIMI and our dear UP CM Mulla sing Yadav says SIMI is innocent. Some people try to shove out bangladeshis and the WB CM come fighting for their rights. Till we get clean leadership and system doesnt change, we will desrve this. praveen
I agree with you.Why the hell are we not hitting back?????Its high time that India does something about terrorism once and for all.People will think about our peace offers seriously only when they know that by rejecting it they will have to pay a very heavy price. Time and again our leaders have let us down by doing practically nothing except giving speeches , compensation and starting bus and train services. I am unable to understand that why the hell are we afraid to show the strength of our armed forces to resolve this matter? And who the hell are we afraid of? We are a country where people kill each-other in the name of caste , religion and what not?But when it comes to dealing with terrorism we suddenly realize that we are the re-incarnation of Lord Buddha. I sincerly hope that in my life-time atleast once India realizes it might and power and hits back with no mercy.
