Author's frustration is understandable. But he is assuming that the terrorist is an enemy we can find easily. The first problem is finding who committed these atrocities. Secondly, if the terrorists are caught in India, the rule of law has to be applied.So they will have to stand trial. If found guilty, death by hanging or life imprisonment is to be expected. Getting carried away will not solve anything here. Especially because the first investigations seem to indicate that SIMI, a local organisation is involved. What is the point of starting a small war inside your own country? Mumbai has seen enough bloodshed for now.
I completely agree this,time has arrived for us to roll up our sleeves and teach terrorists a lesson.
Governent must take a harsh action as it is required.Dialogues are offcourse important but that does not mean overlooking loss of life of innocent people.
The article was worth reading. But as a common man , my feelings are slightly different. As you say, it is very much a known fact that the common man always take the brunt and the after effects of terrorist activities. But dont you think ..and seriously feel that, unless the greed for power, which is mocking us in the name of POLITICS is abolished from our way of life, NO firm actions (as you suggested) could be implemented against terrorism,. Because the fact and truth is that...both are inter related and dependent on each other.
India should repeat the history. As we got our independence through non-violence, we should give a try in terrorism issue also. We should not go war with a nuclear power pakistan just for few lives. We have 1000 million population, we should not worry about lives of people, if 1000 die, a million will take birth. India is growing economically, this is not the time for a war. India need to wait for the right time and position in world scenario. keep watching whats happening around us in israel, lebonon, palestenia, north korea. Shortly iran, south korea and japan may go into war. India might have set some limits, if pakistan terrorists cross those limits, india will definately enter the homes of each terrorist and kill them in their own land, but think of nuclear weapon pakistan have, pakistan can only controlled by america. Till bush keep personal friendship with people like musharaff and other leaders for dividents, we cant do any thing n( i added little sarcacism).
The story is worth reading,I fully support his views.Without ample assistance of terrorist supporters in India its dificult for any organisation to carry out those blasts with such accuracy.Firstly these traitors in india should be weeded out and hanged till death.
The measures suggested are more appropriate. If a small bunch of terrorists is strong and ruthless, we, India, the country as a whole should show that we are stronger and even more ruthless than the terrorists. But my worry is whether our 'Babus and netas' dependent on vote-bank and being selfish would dare to antagonise the minority. I suspect many Indian muslims are slowly turning against their own country by extending direct or indirect support to the terrorists and their evil designs.
For last 57 years we , ordinary janta of the country continue to suffer both in hands of politicians of the country as well by terrorists. Late Shri L.N.Mishra died in bomb blast, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi died in terrorist attack. Mumbai blst in 1993, Godhara Carnage, Attack on parliament, attack on J& K assembly, attack on Swamy Narayan temple at Gandhinagar etc etc. And every time our leaders be it Shri Bajpeye jee or or who ever is PM or president air condolence message and assure countryman that repeat of such acts will not be allowed and we must continue to show our tolerence. But another attack at some other place reminds us that we are very vunarable. In fact we indians are at mercy of terrorists. They can make any place in the country their target without any resistance by the Govt agencies. If we are safe and secure it is our destiny. Next time we may find our name in fatal list. Entire world knows that all terroists attacks are masterminded and executed by our dearest neighbour Pakistan. Our Govt can not think of ruthless against Pakistan because they do not want. ONLY SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM IS FULL FLEDGED ATTACK ON PAKISTAN.
We the Indians don't need to be ruthless on terrorists. We should keep quiet, take out protest rally and keep condemning terrorism only beside oozing out strong dialogues.If some of the terrorists get caught, we should run a court room, drama for a long time and later release them gracefully. We should lie idle and pray for those who died.Political parties soon start mud-sledging at each other and after some time forget that we have been hit brutally by those militants. Because we are a peaceful nation, we should tolerate everything and live like cowerds and later comment that we are using restraints.Wah bhai, we are Indians, a real brave nation.
The writer of the above article has summed it up very well. Its correct to say that such miscreants; or worse; Devils; lose the right to human rights the moment they take away someone else's! In this world of being politically correct all the time, we ourselves give such people a chance to terrorize us in our own homelands! Its impt to remember though that its not a specific religion only thats capable of such terror, but there are factions in every religion that have and can do such horrible dehumanising acts against fellow human beings!!! Its impt to remember that the true character of a person is realized in a time of crisis!
