Instead of just expressing our anguish over our Government's inaction (at least optically), responsible citizen should organize a signature campaign similar to a referendum and force the PMO/ Home Ministry to spell out their 10/12 actions proposed to be taken against the terrorists, other noble indians who shield and provide cover to them, and foreign nationals who have overstayed. This statement of proposed actions should be followed up at quarterly intervals with updates. Unless the Govt is made answerable to the citizens who face the wrath of the natural and man made calamities such as recent bomb blasts our politicians and babus will continue to enjoy thier lives at our cost.

First of all thats really sad and i feel sorry for all those people who died in the bomb blast in bombay and i agree all the points that MR. x has mentioned except to tighten the border, thats really a crap, what about families? like us.India needs to be ruthless with terriost, that means being alert all the times.Punish them! Sametime government nneds to work on the relationhip with the neighboring countries, honestly thats not what terriosts want! We need to understand that. Peace!!!!

dear shishir i totally agree and appreciate your concern...it is not that the state or the police is not doing anything, they have not let the designs of terrorist succeed,though there there have been instances like the present blasts... BUT can u imagine how difficult it is for the police to isolate few people, who look like us , speak the same language and follow thw same customs and relegion as we do, from more than 120 crores of us....Yes, it hurts and painful to see innocent lives being lost to such dastardly act, even for a police personnel.
further as u have written that we have to be ruthless in our approach...i tell u that they are..but only if a terrorist is identified.. u might have been reading in everyday news that how many young men and officers have been killed in various encounters,these men and officers might not have been killed had they not gone after these terrorists.
being ruthless at times makes a man reckless also..due to which some innocent lives may also be lost due to mistakes in identifying a terrorist.
yes terrorism is a menace not only for the police but for the country and society as a whole and WE HAVE TO FIGHT IT FIGHT IT TOGETHER.
a country of 100+ crore people is traumatized and victimised by a handful of people.I never understand why INDIA has to be a peace loving nation.there will never be a peace talk unless the terrorist will be given the reply in a ruthless manner.In Russia i remember Mr.Putin always used his commandos to deal with the terrorism ,even at the cost of lives of innocent kids.but we in india accept whatever injury given to us.we have to live like Isarael.If one Israeli dies Israel kills many arabs.I don't know when india will also start. None of the politician came forward to show the toughness required.instead u see the statement of Mulayam singh Yadav. our politician fails to understand that condemning terrorism doesn't mean losing muslim votes.
