mumbai burn again
by Ravindra Dhandole on Jul 12, 2006 05:59 PM  Permalink

Until this government stops giving special status to some minorities. This will happen again and again.Only thing goverment do is soften a law for terrorist. The police seems to capable of only catching Bar girls, beggers and common man who makes common mistake.Ministry never looks like they will take any hard dicision people will again forget incident.I think cheif/home minister should resign and find some active man who make the police and agencies do what they made for.

hi, i read the post and could see the fury that ingites in u and almost every other caring human heart that beats in indians. i do agree that all the govt for the last 59 yrs have failed to relive india of terrorist attacks and with this continued appraoch they will not be able to resolve it for another period of 50 yrs. each and every responsible politician of world, including pakistan itself knows whats going in and around india. its high time that india take stern steps and we indians are ready to face the consequences of the ultimate war the country will face. we need people to take decesion about the country and not about themselves, be they politicians, beaurocrats, corporates or any damm industry. the thought ' agar ladaai ho gayi to mera kya hoga, no stop the govt to go to war' needs to be routed out. its time to think about country and not about individual or group of people. days ae no far that indians will loose their patience and wage a war without govt of india declaring it.....

come on, give us the results and not the words.."decesion to be taken in next meeting after 6 months"

JAI HIND....

Our present politicians (young or old) are very good in giving reasons and playing emotional dramas with public.
We indians have lost great leaders (SCbose,CSAzad,bagathsingh,LBshastri,....), now the left overs are ...... i dont know what i should say (Its so bad).

Let me complete your statement. The leftovers are the ones we voted to power in preference to their better competitors because we felt too guilty to hold our heads high in self respect

Bombay Blasts
by Samir on Jul 12, 2006 05:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Mr. Sivaswamy, I do totally agree with your words. But there are some hardline facts to be brought to everyones notice. In three days, Indian Intelligence Forces failed 3 times. First, when the Agni 3 was test-fired. Second when the Insat was launched. In either cases, I strongly doubt a sabotage. America is trying to forcefully convert India into a slave like it has done to Pakistan. Fact No. 1 is the only reason India cant attack Pakistan is because it has Washingtons Immunity. Now due to rapidly growing Chinese influence worldwide, India being the only remotely challenging country to the Great Chinese Menace, America wants India's help. But at its own terms and conditions. And that includes handing over everything (literally). This brings us to the third intelligence failure, namely THE BLASTS.We are so media stricken people, we immediately belive that LeT or any other story given by the media is right. Open your eyes. This is American Terrorism. Do what we say or we twist your arms, seems to be the clear American message.

Thank George Bush
by Tamil Selvan on Jul 13, 2006 07:15 PM  Permalink
Samir's anti-american outbursts are a trajedy.Like the govt. bashers in these columns, looks like he was itching for an excuse to trash Bush and america.Man don't forget that if it had not been for Bush taking the war on terror to the enemy camp,Osama would be roaming freely inside Afganistan or POK planning his next attack. Or he might have even slipped into India !!And the next attack will surely be India because of its close proximity to Osama and the local help he'll be surely getting from his other religious extremists in India.Only because Bush had the spine , in spite of opposition from almost the whole world, including europe,to hunt Osama & keep him on the run, these attacks in India are not frequent.Otherwise imagine living in a country ,dreading all the time if the guy sitting next to you is a potential terrorist with a bomb strapped to his waist. So thank George Bush, Man for our lives otherwise we would been "a living horror story" not knowing when death will strike us next.

Saisuresh,

Just one point.
India cannot adopt the aggressive approach like the US becuz it's not the economic and military superpower that the US is.

Regards,
Sudhan!

Sudhan,
it takes guts and blood and sweat to be a economic and military superpower and not the other way around...if we have that, half the battle is already won.

Another example is Israel
by prabhakar on Jul 12, 2006 05:58 PM  Permalink

I fully agree with the author. A good example would be the tenacity of Israel. Just see the way they hold fort for one soldier, while we whimper away all the way.

we have an impotent establishment
by udai singh on Jul 12, 2006 05:57 PM  Permalink

All we can do is to review.

When a soldier is brutally cut by enemies our government reviews.

When there is a bomb blast..the government reviews.

When a girl is raped...our government reviews..

Whne there is an accident, murder, bomb blast..any damn thing....which hurts the people...the government reviews, reviews and reviews.

Applause to that effort.

i guess we are too meek and impotent to make any statement.

A War can be Won only Through War
by srinath K on Jul 12, 2006 05:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is high time the indian think tank goes on the offensive to fight terrorisim?

Day after Day thousands are murdered in Kashmir! and the goverments very promptly issue statements! nothing more than that!

Bloody go catch the murders and hang them! There is no point in locking up your forces in darkness..

If not now its never!,.....
