Enough is enough....................... Govt should take strong action against it. its always spirit of mumbai. Which it does not scare of this terrorism but u have to look towards dark side of it. Mumbakars will easily forget this incident. We are become selfish in the way towards our targets. We do not have time for others. Yesterday everybody help each other in the time of disaster. But very next day we all are travel same train using same route we just speak and speak and speak and speak but do nothing. No action, only lip service. Anti-social elements, taking advantage of the same. Because they know (common man or politicians or Police) we do not have guts to fight back, by the time our judicial system put someone behind the bar he will be died bcoz of old age.
We,Indian have tendency to react for couple of days and forget everything there after any incident for that matter. People who lost their loved one may mourn for some more days. This is where our politicians are taking advantage.
If Indian government doesnt take strong action against these terrorist activities, then they dont have any right to run the government. This is high time. People should come down to road, if government fails to take any action and continuing their peace program.
Culprit should be hanged without wasting court time and money.
This article truly sums up the feelings of a majority of Indians, I am sure. Every time an incident of this magnitude takes place, our policy makers come out strongly in condemning the same. Do we still have to be mute spectators to such orchestrations when hundreds of our brethren keep dying? Can't we for once be proactive and take control of situations than always be preachers of ahimsa? Times have changed. Our political parties irrespective of their ideologies, need to sit up and take a vow that we as a nation would take drastic action to eliminate occurance of any similar incidents in future. Unless our system decides that "Enough is Enough", we are otherwise in for much more of similar gory incidents.
I completely agree with the author. We have not been able to stop these terrorist activities and it is true that everything cannot be done in peace. We have to show our power to the enemies.
After the last year's heavy deluge, the face saving promise by the State Govt was setting up a disaster management team.
The 7/11 carnage bared the failures of those in power, their hollow promises and the ignorance of the intelligentsia.
The only thing that was proved not to be hollow was the vibrant character of the people of this city. The way local people took over the rescue and relief till the lethargic agencies got to the scene was commendable.
Now this very Mumbaikars should not let the corrupt politicians gain political milage over the graves and pyres of the victims.
What happened yesterday was shocking .. and the way the administrators have reacted is heart breaking !! One more instance where India Inc has shown it's defensive approach. and i have failed to understand the reason why !!! - every time.
I strongly beleive and i am 100% confident that the comments shared by Saisuresh is the voice of every INDIAN now.
This is really a situation when time demands that India should come out from the virtual thought of peace processes to implement some action to punish Terrorism.
Every INDIAN requires some changes in constitution for the act of practical implementation against terrorism.
Our PM is going to Address Nation, simple speaking What's the use of This???? For those who are struck by tragedies like this, there are always friends, neighbours, well wishers to console and help AND for the rest of indians, they all know about the subject of speech and the outcomes. We don't require some 3000-4000 lines of speech from our leaders. Now or never is the time for India/Indians to demand action from their leaders. There is very less to do for a common man like us except to write these columns to express ourselves or to discuss it with others.
But, help of any kind required from our leaders is always welcome except that if they want us to be careful while boarding Trains and look for suspicious objects when a compartment of 3000 people or so is full.
