I think u all remember that few days back there was an artical in rediffmail that Mumbai is the least polite city in the whole world.I can hardly wait to write something in this.
Mumbai has faced 6 bomblast since 1993, Mumbai faced severe roits all the time and also faced many natural calamity like last year(26th July)and many more incidents have struck Mumbai all the time.
Who came for the rescue, THE LOCALS, the Mumbaikars r always the first to help the people who suffer.
Befor the police or any other rescue team can come, Mumbaikars do a lot of work, they help the comuters who r stuck in heavy rain for food, water and any possible thing they can do, I remember in 1992 June, due to heavy rains I was stuck at Colaba with my brother and a friend, I was only 11. We were helped by some gentelman and his daughter. They gave us lift till our place, gave us something to eat as we had walked for more than 6 hrs in heavy rain nothing to eat for more than 12 hrs.
Yesterday again world saw the helpfulness of Mumabikars. Why should they answer any stupid survey(politely) How is going to help them? Come and survey Mumbai during crises, and then give points. Mumbai will always be on TOP.
This is an opinion which will be agreed upon by most of the indians who have seen and witnessed these brutal acts of terrorism. Yet, our very own so called government does nothing but sit and trash talk so that they can hold on to their selfish and materialist desires.
Dear freinds, this is india for you! We never walk the talk. Courtesy our very own corrupted beuraucratic system led by equally corrupted politicians.

What about the role of TV media? Last time when the alert police caught a girl terrorist, the TV channels went to town saying that she was an innocent student..

In this hour of need, I would only request our Government, its employees, insurance companies and its employees to fulfill all they have said since last evening and in policies with the least of red tape and to provide immediate relief and comfort to the families of victims and to injured survivors. If the CM of Maharashtra has announced monetary relief, he should also direct the government machinery to disburse immediately. A similar request goes to insurance companies. The courts should seek suo moto a report on fulfillment of such promises in Public Interest. If even one victim is deprived of immediate relief and comfort then the terrorists have won and the Government would once again have let the people down. Please help the victim's families and survivors to get back to normal life as fast as people unaffected have
I completely agree with this article. I would also like to add some facts to it. Whenever we get attacked, we always say that somebody from outside country has done that. How somebody from outside country can do this without being noticed by our local people? There are many reasons behind this and many things need to be improved such as - 1. Way our immigration process works. 2. Way our BSF (Border Security Force) works. They need to find out how & from where these people are getting RDX. 3. We need to educate as many Indian people as we can. There must be uneducated people behind these blasts. 4. We need to create jobs for all as only jobless people do these kinds of things. 5. The last but not least, we should not allow people to forget about these blasts. We should always keep the memories of these blasts (like black day).
I have lot of things to talk about but I think it's time for us to get together and do something against this.
It trully shows we are in 3rd! world war. It shows how 'falatu' is Indian state and how this too would be treated. For babus "this too will pass". The only piece I dislike about the article is the funal punch lines lack the powerful title. How in the world are you going to distinguish between followers of the faith when most of those same people have soft corner for the terrorists. I think this is where we always fail to unerstand the gravity and global nature of the enemy. Though George Bush cannot say that for political reason his actions prove what he rightly thinks.
for america, its not the neighbours that are doing terrorist activitists...what do you see of America doing of Mexico openly promoting illegal immigration into America? How many nations have capability to strike nuke on american land? If we go on war with Pakistan, what stops it from landing a nuke on Mumbai or Delhi or any other location. We are too close to Pakistan to do what America did. America not experiencing any terrorist activities in last 5 years can be due to several reasons besides its counterstrike. also, consider the economies of the two countries. I doubt we can afford to go on an open war...if we have to, then we have to - that's different scenario!

Its Seem to be our city is very much insecured.Enough is Enough please hang the culprits after the arrest.Else our city will continue facing these problems.We are tired of such situation.

Hi I totally agree with the author and it certainly reflects sentiment of millions of Indians (Common one), not those high drama superstars (our politicians). I wish all these posts which all of you are making on rediff and on other websites, write it in paper and post it to New Delhi.I hope atleast then our politicians (if they are eating the same food as we eat with right amount of salt) will realise our feelings and act(if they are humans -im sorry even animals protect their integrity) with integrity and soul. Living now in Germany i feel a deep remorse at my inability to help all the victims. But my prayers will always be for them and for all Indians to raise again.
