Don't get close to US..
by Satish on Jul 12, 2006 10:36 PM  Permalink

Who is this author?? Looks like a Moron to me!!! If this attack is based on the fact that we are close to US.. then what the hell is HE doing in US? Does the Homeland Security know that this guy is here in US?? Rediff should stop publishing these kind of CRAP articles..

Please do not write such things
by Anuranjan on Jul 12, 2006 10:21 PM  Permalink

I believe the writer here is helping the terrorist more than anything. Why do you need to make your own statement and put it on web. Ok fine even if the terrorist had similar motto, why popularize it. Readers may end up believing it, while it might simply be a rumour.

Mumbai blast
by vamshi on Jul 12, 2006 09:09 PM  Permalink

It is not just sad but unbelievable.sometimes i think how come such things happen in india only. Why not we indians think of doing this at the place where these terrorists live. The answer is we indians are cultured and we believe in bharat mataa.I don't know what the terrorists pray to god.I cannot believe that god didn't punish them for what they are doing and have been doing from a long time.I am desperate to hear that there was a bomb blast and 100 terrorists died.I really pray god that if he is there for people we want this to happen.

Re: Waste of education

Wow -

I am absolutely apalled by people who have criticized my 'education' etc. when it is apparent THAT THEY HAVE NOT BOTHERED TO READ MY ARTICLE.

At no point did I argue that the 'problem' is getting close to the US, in fact I am for the US-India relationship.

All I surmise is that this transportation-economic pattern of attacks post-9/11 in countries outside the US follows a pattern. I think India has been reticent in cooperation with the US on security, and I would hope this gets some re-consideration. The attacks on 7/11 are emblematic of the morphing cross-border terrorist network, IMO.

Needless personal attacks by people who don't know me or haven't really read the piece are wasted, pointless and completely asinine.

I dont think so...yours is a poor article and God knows what reasoning was applied in all this...the problem is jihadi Islamism which makes no distinction for any kafir...just like the 'great' poet Iqbal asked..Muslims have become idol sellers instead of idol breakers. The US is as kafir as the Hindu or Jew is..plunged in Jahiliat which needs the light of pure Islam. You just dont get the gist, only the subplots..you could chose not to touch the US with a 10 ft pole, but that wouldnt save your kafir behind at all. The deal is to change the culture..take over those tyrannical regimes and teach them basic humanity..in other words impose conditions that brought about the reformation in Europe and freed it from Christian tyranny of the dark ages..same animal, just a lot more dangerous. Got it????

Stop this nonsense
by SR on Jul 12, 2006 08:27 PM  Permalink

The gist of the article is that in response to hot head killers, lets deviate from what is in our national interest. These type of thinkers are infuriating. When will they realize that teorist need an excuse..the fact that some of them are not from their religon could be good enough for them to cause their mayhem.

What nonsense
by Anurag Mathur on Jul 12, 2006 08:11 PM  Permalink

I am surprised that such an educated person is making such a wild surmise. What are we supposed to 'learn' from this 'message', that today we don't get close to the US, tommorrow we follow whatever they say, the day after we spend all our lives living in their shadow and doing what they want from us? Better to die a brave man than live like a coward.
The victims of terrorist attacks worldwide should be treated as Martyrs to the cause of Freedom of Expression and Democracy and awarded the same status and honor as freedom fighters.
That will send a 'message' to these cowards not to indulge in these dastardly acts.
Cheers
Anurag
