Dear Sir, It disgusts me that our helplessness is being termed as "spirit". Pray tell me, do I have any other option? Can I stop working? I may have lost my son/brother/father in the blast but I still have responsibilities on my shoulders to carry on. No one is going to help me with it. I have no other option.. And this term "spirit of mumbai" is beginning to grate on the nerves. The fact is nothing and absolutely nothing has been done or is being done for Mumbai. Ask someone who has lost a dear one how they feel. Its nearing 48 hours+ and all we have yet is "No clues" as the answer. This is just plain disgusting. And city countries like Singapore where I reside are literally crime free. And the reason is the heavy vigilance. No one can escape the eyes of the camera there. Its public awareness there. The public addressal systems keep reminding people to be aware all the while. People are pro-active and I can say preventive in Singapore. Is that the case in Mumbai? Do any of our 547 MP's care?? Hello MP's are you there? Mr Prime Minister, can you hear us?
It's good to see people helping each other. But is so called "Mumbai spirit" really helping us? Terrorists come, blasts people off and go away, they come back after some months, and some more. We get back to work, now believing that this is a natural phenomenon. Isnt it a high time we raise our voices to the goverment, who is still interested in making friendly neighbours, who keep blasting us? I'm sorry to say, but this spirit seems to me a cowardly act!
Today once again mumbai has shown to the rest of the world that the human spirit can never be broken. No matter what we will always resurrect ourselves from the worst trauma and emerge stronger. The blood of those lost in this war of terror will be avenged.Let us all take a solemn oath to never forget this dark day and continue our fight for justice and peace.....
This is just another in a long line of attempts by Pak to disrupt India's economy and society. Anyone who believes the crocodile tears of the king of terror Gen Mush should have their heads examined - Pak is safe in the knowlege that with over 150 million Indian muslims, there's no dearth of terrorist recruits, from the burgeoning madrassas, B'deshi illegals and others who can be so easily bought, including politicians and security officials - everyone's got their price irrespective of religion, class or political leaning.
I am currently in London when this shocking incident tool place in Mumbai and i really have condolences for the families who have lost their dear ones. I request and urge Central/State Governments that instead of wasting money in Parks, Statues and beautification of their consitutencies AND FILLING THEIR BLOODY POCKETS PLEASE START SOME PRODUCTIVE MESAURES FOR PROVIDING HIGH - TECH SECURITY TO THE CITIZENS OF YOUR COUNTRY. I see in London that whole of the London (Even the smallest/darkest of the streets) is monitored by CCTV cameras, even the local buses, the local trains. The criminal thinks 100 times before commiting any crime as he knows his picture is being traced LIVE on the CCTV cameras. When we compare ourself with the best countries why cant we adopt some security measures which these best countries have already adopted?? I can understand the pain of the families who have lost their dear ones or have injured relatives. I have lost my cousin in Jammu Railway Station terrorist shoot-out few years back. Nothing happens to the POLICTIANS but its the common man who suffers. I dont know when a government for the people will form....
Have we not heard this before? Just because some rogues bombed the locals, why is IT the next? is it because that is our money making engine and depends on foreign clients? Why are we so paranoid to predict qayamat like the fanatics themselves but not willing to do anything about it?
Are we not playing to the greed of the IT czars by giving them some marketing hype on business continuity and making IT people already a paranoid lot more paranoid?
This logic of IT next has been repeated after every bombing be it the parliament, IISC, Akshardham or whatever, pundits always prefer to predict "IT next", are we serious about the nation at all or are we just making some paranoid fatwas to frighten ourselves?
