Well whoever has done this heinous act should be publicly hanged.They dont deserve an iota of mercy from the judiciary.
But I regret Col Anil Athale terming 10% of indian muslims as traitors.I beg to differ that this figure is not more than 1%.Further i would like to question Colonel Anil about his silence that why Indian muslims are turning Pro-Pak?Just for religious reasons?Well no.The turning point in Indian history was the Babri masjid demolition plus the recent Gujarat riots which has reinforced that muslims are just second class citizens with a hostile state.Unless these grievances are addressed there will be such sleeper cells for the terrorists.

In 1947, there was no Babri Masjid. Why did they choose to build a separate nation?
So you say Muslims in India ill treated? What about the thousands of Hindus hounded out of Muslim majority Kashmir, Bangladesh and Pakistan? What about Hindu girls kidnapped in Pakistan, coverted and forced into polygamous marriages to men twice their age?
Have you heard of Hindus in Pakistan arming terrorist modules, have you heard of Hindus in Kashmir throwing grenades at crowded buses and helping their "brothers" set up bombs in trains?
Don't you think the minority community should look inside to find out why they are so reviled, not just in India, but across the world?

Hello Sameer I guess you are the first muslim (if you are one) who is atleast admitting about 1 % of muslims are terrorist or radicals in India. I appreciate this. But what are they rest of 99% muslims doing. Are they supporting them (directly or indirectly) or comming out of their homes and preventing them to take these steps or turning them in to the police? No they are not doing so. May be they are cowards or they are encouraging them under ground. But even with your estimates 1% of 10 crore is about 1,000,000. This is almost the entire populatin of Kashmir. So I think you so called moderate muslims has a humongus task ahead. start righ away don't give escuses of BM (hindus have equally criticized it), Gujrat (started from sabarmati) etc. "Jo Dil dhunda aapmna mujsa bura na koi"
This article is so right. Spineless leadership, directionless opposition, we have been sitting ducks for decades. Isolating ourselves, breeding and goading our "great culture" bringing about youth more obessesed with marriage than nationhood. We even look like them yet not one of our intel agencies could penetrate these outfits. I do not understand why our agencies are not told to seek and kill the terrorist leadership cladenstinely like the KGB and Mossad did right through the 50's till 90's??. When we did get a chance to do something about it directly by going into war, instead of striking tremendous fear into Pakis we actually gave way to them? Can someone tell why we Indians are such big time losers?? This is the reason why our people stand the line in EVERYwhere in this planet taking a beating from even human scum like Bangladesh. Why are we extolling the virtue of peace when our people dont know how its begotten from war and ONLY war. They want war we should give it to them 10 fold so that we dont come back with a proportional response to Pakis etc etc we come back with disaster.
Repentance has come a trifle too late for the author; albeit after a heavy dose of free biryani and kebabs across the border. Even a kid would have told the distinguished colonel or whatever, that the kebabs were deep fried in the blood of innocent indians! Anyway, "derse aaye, durust aaye!!"
This is really a great article in the light of accepting the facts. The media people, like politicians have either forgotten or intentionally not giving the facts and analisys. The fact that government, irrespective of the party has failed to protect the people of India. The fund crunch has made our forces irrelevant as compared to the terrorists who have got access to most modern weponaries. Also amazingly few of the forces with modern weponary, like Black Cat commandos are ment for socalled VIPs and VVIPs who are by any means dead asset to the nation.
in stead of blaming Pakistan , we should take care of ourself . Thousands of terrorists are INDIAN and they should be dealt in a brutal way without any second thought, so that no body even dare to do any act of terrorism. INDIA CAN NOT SURVIVE AS A SOFT STATE.
Why should the onus of finding them out and isolating them be on Indian Muslims only ? When indian police and intelligence authorities are failing in their jobs , how smartly we are assigning the responsibility on the Indian muslims, it is a typical attitude of most of the others which isolates the large nos. of moderate muslims.
I dont know how to react to such titles. Each & every minute an Indian suffers in this country is much more due to the corrupt Netas, Babus, police & then comes the Terrorists. What r these ppl doing if they r not capable of doing a single thing right. Take Education, Employment, Price rise, Infrastucture, it is the same story over & over again. & who on earth is going to rid the common man from all these. The people responsible for the hunger of thousands / lacs of our country men are the biggest enemies of this country.

before you blame the infrastructure. Ask yourself are you sincere in the job that you do. If you dont then you dont have the right to ask this question. Its easy to point fingure at others , but who are these babus, police and people in the governement they are one among ourselves. They are the people that we elect. When they fail we have to take the collective responsibility. Stop blaming others for our failure. Infact stop blaming altogether and get involved in fixing the problems that you see around. Do you have the guts or inclination to do this ?
I think Israel is bad model to follow. The terrorists will only strike harder if they are violently confronted. Its time to have patience and stick with peace and development for all.
For once the Colonel talks sense 2 very valid points:
1) It is the 90% of the community that has to become pro-active and hunt these sympathisers of terrorism down. This is the only way that terrorism can be controlled. Like fish without water, terrorists cannot operate without popular support. Consideration of faith should not come in the way of citizens doing their duty. This apathy would be a monumental folly on part of the community.
2) On a personal note, the Mumbai blasts have convinced me to disassociate myself from any peace process and Indo-Pak dialogue. I would not like to lend support to a charade of friendship while the Lashkar-e-Tayiba based in Muridke near Lahore plots more killings of my fellow Indians.
But the tragedy is our home minister calls these terrorists " Brothers" ..and the puppet ManWoman Singh wants to send a bus.
Mr Parvez just expressed a considered and moderate view only to have vermin like 'JS_Delhi' verbally assault him. Guys like JSD are the root cause behind why terrorists think they can divide India. Attack India and guys like JSD will be ready to kill their own country men. So just whose side are you on JSD?

(1)you quoted that "Koran is full of hatred,intolerance and violence."... well let me tell you one thing even Ramayan and Mahabharat is full of fighting and struggle.. and when Balashaeb Thackeray and his party was on a rampage in the city.. we Indian Muslims didn't point our fingers on Hindu sacred books.. u know y?? because we know .. that every line in some sacred book is written in context.. if u read those lines out of context u will definately be offended..
(2)you quoted that "It doesn't respect people of other religion and it directly orders Muslims to kill the Kaffirs."... this has been explained many times.. that this statement occurs in Islam when there is description of war.. it says that "Allah orders muslims to kill kaafir wherever they find.. but if the disbelievers ask for peace.. don't hurt them and escort them to place of safety" and my dear friend kaafir means non-muslims.. its an arabic word.. y do u feel offended to it..?? Can u name atleast one Indian who has supported the blast? but i can name million Hindus who have supported the killing of Indian muslims in Gujarat riots.. and hello .. i m a muslim.. and i condemn this cowardly act of blasts in train

Considered and moderate view for you, Mr Parvez aka ashok, I've heard this same line used a gazillion times after every muslim terrorist terrorist act in the world like trained parrots. 9/11, madrid train bombings, london tube attacks, sarojini nagar market blasts, etc they just toot the above written by you, sorry, parvez. Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance and cow jumped over the moon, my six toed foot.
Rather than preaching this to non muslims, it would be better if mullahs teach it to their co-religionists or better still to the terrorists/misguided muslims.

Ashish is 100 percent right. Even muslims know this some are blind and follow the hate propogated by the evil book, some are humane and do understand that it is wrong. But the problem is people who do understand that it is wrong dont have the guts to oppose it. People should know that the only thing that is constant is CHANGE. There needs a major reform in this religion, but the sad part is that the religion does not allow change.
