human side and the rude side
by Deep on Jul 12, 2006 01:08 PM  Permalink

It was a sad picture of seeing Mumbai being the target of those evil minds once again. But it also showed the human nature of the city when people came hand in hand to save the souls of those struck by the bombs.
And this reminded me of the recent survey by one group which concluded Mumbai to be the rudest of all international cities. Now thats odd. The dwellers of Mumbai or be it any other city, would always get together in momnets of such dispair. Thats human.

Don't spare the terrorist-It will be a great shame.
by Maqsood Husain on Jul 12, 2006 01:04 PM  Permalink

Its one more tragic incident which has taken lots of innocent lives and created furore in Mumbai. Why this so called terrorist kills innocent peoples, what they get by killing innocent lives who leave their home in search of livings for them and their siblings and in return get this for their hardwork and efforts.Life has become so easy and valueless.I strongly condemned this brutal act of barabarism and curse the people behind it from my heart and soul.If they are true men then they should come face to face with us and we will show them their way.Bloody cowards if they really want to take revenge then attack the responsible person not the innocents. But besides been sad Iam also proud to be a Mumbaikar because in such a biggest tragedy they have come together and faced the situation with courage and determination and showed the terrorist that we cannot succumb before them.I also salute the Lifeline of Mumbai, our locals as they were on the tracks again doing their normal duties. But one request I want to make with the Mumbai Police and that is to nab the culprits soon and give them the world's worst punishment that their next generation will never think to become a TERRORIST.

Reader's Digest Publish Your Apology
by Esther on Jul 12, 2006 10:57 AM  Permalink

Against this humane face which only Mumbai can have in India, please view Reader's Digest Survey which not at all a ground level reality, and is carried in 5 star hotel culture mood, where people see the cooperation by their own selfish comforts like "What a City Why Don't have AC Cars - trains etc.

ND TV needs to point out all these facts by e-mailing all these articles to them and make them render an unconditional apology to Bombayites.

Mumbai's spirit is truly undaunted. Yesterday with the blasts we saw the human side of Mumbai, today we see the courageous face of Mumbai. People are all set to go to office and resumed work as if nothing happened! That is why Mumbai is the financial capital of India. Salute to Mumbaikars! Terror, thou purpose is defeated!!!!!! Mumbai is not afraid. We will continue to serve the country.

Mumbai Blast
by S.Sengupta on Jul 12, 2006 10:01 AM  Permalink

Please sendthe articles bringing out the human side of Bombay to Reader's Digest. Let them digest it that they were unworthy of passing judgemnet on a city which has always been supportive, humane and helpful to all. It welcomes all. I have spent about three years in bomaby and cherish the memories of the lovable city always. My children are crazy about Bombay's Courteousness and good samaritan attitude because these two characteristics are missing from Delhi where we live.Readers Digetst -are you listening ??
