I agree with Mr. Sood. It is time the channels showed some maturity and stopped making news out of the bereaved families. Please respect the priavcy of the victims and their families.
The whole nation is feeling low because of this shameful act of idiots. Its hard to understand why they target Innocent people.
well its a fact that we cannot change the way these idiots think but atleast we can show them we are united and are not afraid of them. I salute Mumbaikars who have fought bravely and have come back to normal life within 12 hrs(Thats amazing). NO other community in the world would have faced it so bravely.
I urge all brother and sisters of India (irrespective of their religion) not to loose heart and join hands to prevent such acts in future. PLease donot criticise Police or state, they are doing their best. They are also human beings, dont think they are God.
Message to idiots behind the blasts: Our peace loving mind has always forgiven you but dont think its our weakness. so live and let live.
Is it not unfair to tell media not to capitalize on this tragedy and make most money out of it. Most TV channels and newspapers are in the race with their competitiors so that they can get more advertisements. all news channels will be boasting of how only their channel gives the latest update and why people should tune in to their channel and not their competitor. If they do not play with the emotions of the people now, we dont know when will they get the next opprtunity. Afterall they have social responsibility of keeping the public informed. Even if it means glorifying the terrorists by broadcasting their interviews and congratualting them on their achievement.
The barbarci act of voilence once again proved that we are vulnerable and those responsible are doing it time and again at their will. Will it stop some day for?? I also want to highlight the role of media in all this and to be true..it was insane. Can any body tell me what is the logic of showing disintegrated bodies on national channels? Plz for god sake take some idea from London Blast Tv Coverage. They showed policemen trying to bring life to narmalicy not showing body parts lying around. What the hell people think when they use their "Hi Tech" Mobile Phones to take photos who are lying their and are in desperate need of help. Is this humanity? Can u help those ppl instead of taking photos and showing it on TV? Media has a role to play and that should be positive. What impact does it make on child's mind when he sees this sort of mindless coverage? He will think we are helpless and dont ahve vigour to face the devil. Plz people (Specially Media) show some concern and accountability.. Stop sensationalising the things and give ur constructive contribution in facing this challenge rather then thinking about TRP rating... God Bless !!!
Police did not turn up on time. We could see many local volunteers helping to search the compartments. Mutilated and mangled bodies were shown. Blood oozing injured persons were carried in make shift stretchers. No sign of paramedical staff or police or railway staff. Contents of bags were found strewn aound the track. Many police men were without rail coats. They were found drenching in the pouring rain.No sign of an ambulance till one hour of the accident. The home secretary says there is no connection between the Kashmir blasts and Mumbai blasts. He is sure about it. Minister at least said that he will investigate the cause. In what way these statements contained consolation to the victims or their relatives. Times channel was first to show the visuals and then followed by CNBC and later by NDTV. But were all not concerned about the dignity of the dead. They wanted to sensationalise the issue by showing the dead body. Even while verbal reporting, attempt is made to exaggerate the tragedy. This only create for fear. If there is any backlash it is because of the method of reporting by the media and the reaction of the leaders of administration.
No.. Bodies sud not be shown on TV.. Keepin in mind about the feelins of the ppl and the ones whose family, frnds etc have suffered in this nasty blast.. This even creats fear, depression etc..
i fully agree with your view.it is not supression of fact.we should learn what we are here to show our audience.a sence of fear or community support that people are doing at time of crises.
