Shocking
by Amol on Jul 11, 2006 09:21 AM  Permalink

AGNI-III & GSLV failures...big shock to all of us. Infact failure of the former was very much suprising, since AGNI series is one of the successful developed by DRDO. DRDO is failed completely in all other missiles like Nag, Trishul & Akash.

The part of the blem goes to our political community too. They kept on postponding the test of AGNI-III from last 2/3 years that to under pressure from US.

Infact there r reports that even the AGNI-I, II & Pruthvi has some operational issues.

I am sure that our scientists will identify the defect and will become successful in our space & AGNI-III mission.

The failures in successful mission completion gives us reason to think maybe there is a nosey spy or an external hand who does not want our progress or who wants us to drain economically. Find out what are the reasons for the failures, including leakage of informations.

INSAT 4C launch unsuccessful
by gopal on Jul 11, 2006 08:27 AM  Permalink

We must appreciate our fellow scientist for their hard work to put the satellite in space. Many people must have contributed for the work.We salute them.
At the same time ISRO also should think of getting talented people from premier institute like IIT,REC etc.,to fill the brain-drain of switching to software companies for higher pay.Govt.research institute can be given power to fix wages autonomously on par with software industries. Then only we can avoid brain drain to other countries/fields.A scientist getting meagre of 15-20,000 rupees is not enough compared to software people who draws 6 digits salary and attracts talented people.
In the present scenario talented engineering graduates are not opting to go to govt.jobs due to poor perks and pay compared to IT industries.Govt should seriously think about this, otherwise we may have to outsource talented engg.graduates for day-to-day work in future.
