Ego gone too far
by Kaymos on Jul 10, 2006 11:49 PM  Permalink

After watching the aftermath of the shiv sainiks , everybody should question for the need of meenatai's statue at the shivajee park.Did she do anything worth mentioning for the country or for mumbai?.Why should police take careof statue?.If somebody decides to pay homage to his wife or mom then her statue should be installed in his house or in his party office and then call for police action had it been defiled. It goes on to reflect the stature of the leaders of the shiv seniks, they have now began to think they are above the law.Now it is the wife of shivsena supremo ,tommorow a new statue of his son may comeup in the heart of the city ,should the police take care of each and every statue ?Are there no better things for the police to do? Udhav should be arrested for disturbing the harmony of the state and the shiv sainiks should be arrested and dealth firmly so that they do not prop up again and create mischief. All the demaged done to the public and private properties should be collected forcefully from the shiv sena.Last but not the least statue should be removed so that these kind of perverts have no other reason to create mischief in the state.

shivsena attempta a resurrection
by Nikhil on Jul 10, 2006 06:25 PM  Permalink

it is an attempt by the party to make its presence felt and has taken on this issue as an attempt towards resurrection..the issue isnt important ..as long as the party bosses can show their capacity towards holding the state at bay, their motto is fulfilled

Really trying to provocate the people
by Deepak Narayan on Jul 10, 2006 05:03 PM  Permalink

Why can't the people protest when some miscreants are trying to desecrate the Ma saheb's statue. if a nun is attacked in some remote part of the world, people all over this country start rallying to protest. Why this can't be allowed in case of Shiv sainik. After all what was the need to hurt the sentiments of people by insulting that statue

People underestimate Sena
by Clifford on Jul 10, 2006 04:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I stay in Malad and there was an incident in the morning where some Shiv Sainiks coming with Orange flags came on bikes and Sumos claiming that the shops and vehicles should come to a halt. I agree what has happened is no doubt bad but that does not mean they can go to any extent and claim thier rights to keep a Mumbai Bandh. Whats more?? There were two children and a women who had to run into a nearby building and protect the yong ones for the fear of being pelted by stones, which the Shiv Sena did not care. Also there was a maternity hospital besides all this happening. Bottom line is "Are they really interested in maintaining peace" Also keep an option that the party is big and there are some others taking advantage of the party's destrucitve image and have fun going on a rampage.

One message that i want to let out to you all, We are a peace loving city and nation and within us lies a internal terrorism that gripps the fear within the city and nation by the whole. Its not only Sena by an example, but many others that dont care for existing lives sometimes and human threat is in thier hands.

Lord Shiva and Shivaji Maharaj..please teach them what are the true values of you

Whats going on
by Indian Forever on Jul 10, 2006 03:55 PM  Permalink

The entire Sena episode shows the backward and petty politics that is prevalent in India. It also shows the large number of youth who are unemployed and free to participate in such cowardly act of destroying public peach and property. If there is any substance then why do they not create or contribute something towards the growth of the nation. This is really disturbing that how a group of people can hold the society at randsom and play with emotion of people.

By above I do not mean any disrespect for Mina Tai and perpetrators should be brought to justice but by no means this should allow people to cause such disruption.

Wretched People they are
by Gaurav on Jul 10, 2006 12:59 PM  Permalink

How can they claim to be the voice of people when they destroy people property, why did they destroy peoples property, and not burning their own property? They are going to go from Mumbai in next elections.
