Analyst say derrogatory statements when they have no defense, but they know that people believe rumors, not facts. Why would any country want to rush into a long term agreement? Only persons to blame later will be their reflections in a mirror.
there are many more issues where U.S. cannot be trusted.take this satement wid a pinch of salt. it is closed economy run by a handful of affluent people. it is a world power and to remain one it can go to any limits.be it a war on iraq or a a ban on iran for its nuclear development.all for the cause of oil.so how can we expect U.S. to be honest and fair wid india without trying to supress indias's cause for development and growth.
All is not well with the present government . the Congress was once known for its sacrifice for the sake of the counrty. Now it is perhaps sacrificing the country in every respect and in every feild. Not asingle day passes in this country without some sensational news about some surprises and juggleries by the Unique Cabinet of our Indian Government. May God save the People and the country.
Totally agree with the writer. Cooperation with US is ok untill a certain limit but not when it comes to matters of National Security.
We should have and follow our own policy rather than bending to the whims and fancies of US.
I guess it is easy enough to understand how they make the so called allies dependent on them for everything. Take the example of Pakistan. We rather be independent and safe with our people governing us no matter ho bad they are than have our government being governed like a puppet by the US.
The sentments expressed here is true to the final word. The Universal Seller Of Arms (USA) will never show great interest in India without any ulterior motives or dubious intentions. Always remember the fact this (USA) is a nation that has armed and equipped the ISI and its many wives namely Al Queda, Taleban, Al Badr, HUM and several other name changing jihadi groups for more than a decade when ordinary indians were converted to pieces by the peace/piece loving Pakistan on a daily basis in our state of Jammu and Kashmir.
There were times in the past when human bombs were given heroic admiration in the US media. I stopped watching CNN some years back when Zain Verjee openly admired the so called sacrifice made by a suicide bomber on some civilians waiting for a bank to begin operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
It hurts only when you are hit. otherwise there is always difficulty for the USA to clearly understand who is a freedom fighter and who is a terrorist. Since 9/11 this difficulty to understand has come down a lot..
I agree no one can trust US completely. They should be treated like a poisnous snake.. You have to be very careful even while extracting its venom for making anti venoms for your benefit. It is indeed fishy how US, the super power who listened to no one while forcing war on iraq, could overnight agree to nuclear deal on Indian terms... The government should think deeply about this instead of rejoicing and patting their back proudly!!
The American are a very very selfish and self righteous people. Behind the veil of friendship is deep rooted jealousy of progress made by the others. It hurts them even more when a poor and developing country wants to establish an eye to eye contact with them.
The Americans are very very upset that even India can go nuclear. They want to bully the rest of the world with their so called concern for proliferation. They, infact, are he biggest perpetrators of arms race across the world. The miltary industrial complex which propels the U S economy is always on the look out for markets for their devastating products. Selling arms to dictatorships like Pakistan, KuwaitAnd even Iraq in the olden days!!!!!) and so many others in Latin America. They do all these sitting on the high horse of morality and concern for peace.
They are the ones who braech world peace as evidenced by the Viet Nam war, invasion of Iraq and threatening to destroy Iran.
What moral right do they have? They are the only nation in the world to have used the Atomic bomb that kileed hundreds of thousand Japanese in Hiroshima and Nagasaki>

The author is right,a large amount of information is available with the media and in the internet. There is of course a lot of information with the Govt of India, known only to very select people.A lot of information lies unused for a very very long time with the Govt that gradually gets dated or rather outdated when it's time to use. With very little cost anyone can have access to information however closely guarded; in the prevailing atmosphere of looseness and permissiveness. We believe in a truly open society and not the paranoid nationalism of the US. Why CIA, even hard core terrorists can set up, plan and execute their plans with incomplete professionalism and succeed then what to speak of the Intelligence agencies. Like IT maybe we can make a case for FDI in intelligence information and outsource it.
I have been living in the US for the past siz years and let me say this. US is not to be trusted. Period. I find it hard to believe that New Delhi does not understand such a simple fact. Any transaction with the US should be approached with utmost scepticism and wariness. I personally believe that the US is constantly waging a propaganda war against just about every country in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the lessons in my 10th standard text book were planted by the US. US is also known to plant articles in newspapers and magazines to influence public opinion.
The US is very much concerned about the fact that Indian students have a lot of respect for Science. It is concerned that India will overtake US in research and technology (the essence of power). Expect to see more propaganda.
This is an excellent and timely article. I hope those people in influential positions will heed the warning. I wonder how many of them are on US payroll.
