It is not just AIIMS but whole India!!
by Sunny on Jul 07, 2006 12:49 AM  Permalink

This incident is a typical evidence showing how politics can ruin the merit. Dear people of India, wake up or else you are digging grave not just for you but the generations to come.

Know that you can make difference by raising your voice for social betterment. Get rid of the current politicians and set an example. There is no Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bhose or Bhagat Singh to fight for you. You have to fight for yourselves.

Jai Janata! Jai Bharat Mata!!

Sacking of Dr. Venugopal
by Anil Pinto on Jul 07, 2006 12:07 AM  Permalink

Whatever be the causes what pains me is the insensitiveness of people who have made a commitment, a pledge to save people's lives and Mr. Shenoy now tries to clarify the death of the late Mr. Sarvesh Kumar on the politics of the land. Escuze me please Mr. Shenoy are you trying to threaten us by saying that examples such as that of the late Mr. Sarvesh Kumar would increase because of your internal politics. Give this country and the patients a break. There is no smoke without fire. Please do not hold the patients hostage in your fight, remember your pledge and act accordingly. Else this country will not forgive you 'well paid doctors'. I sincerely hope that you see the writing on the wall and stop holding patients to ransom at the drop of a hat.

by Shan on Jul 06, 2006 11:53 PM  Permalink

In last 15 years, we have come closest to conjuring India's past glory. To see all the hard work go down like this is painful.

Mr. Prime Minister, if you can't control creepy ministers in your Ministry - Resign.

AIIMS wounded
by Sudhir on Jul 06, 2006 11:35 PM  Permalink

This is what happens when small, castse based parties with their myopic ideas get a chance to decide on national issues. How can you rein in somebody when he holds the carpet under your feet. The congress , till today had showmen like Arjun Singh to contend with, now the malady seems to spread.

It is shameful
by Akhilesh Tanwar on Jul 06, 2006 11:29 PM  Permalink

It is shameful that the doctor of such a high repute is insulted at hand of a stupid minister. this is not only insult to Dr Venugopal but to the whole of intellectual fraternity. I pity Dr Manmohan Singh for being forced to become a spectator to his minister's misdeed. It is itself a blot to Dr Manmohan Singh's image.
Now it is AIIMS, tomorrow it may be CSIR ,IITs or any place which harbour the intellect.
But by the way who the hell is this "A Ramadoss". no one had even heard of him.. Suddenly a monkey come, sat on the chair and became a king !!!!!!!!!!!!!

AIIMS has been wounded
by rajiv on Jul 06, 2006 11:24 PM  Permalink

The HM and the PM owe an explanation if that was the way they intend to govern thew country. It is not their's family property, it is the public's money spend on creation and for their benefit. This Pm seems to be the worst willing to remain attached with his chair without any dignity. He should either sack the HM or resign if does not has any guts

Bang On
by Somashekhar on Jul 06, 2006 11:23 PM  Permalink

It speaks volumes of a man when all the staff would go on strike for what they feel is wrong. It amuses me no end that the health minister is interfering where he has no business to and is not even able to explain his actions. That to pick on a person who has given the entire nation proof of his stature since a long time. Ramadoss seems to be hell bent on going down the popularity ratings. I am not aware of castes of the two persons concerned but i would not be surprised if there is a caste equation to this issue.
