It happends only in Great India
by ritunesh on Jul 05, 2006 11:12 PM  Permalink

Really it was shocking news. I don't know in which direction we are moving for. How these political leaders and political parties are behaving. If such kind of leaders are supposed to decide the faith of this country. I am sure sooner or later, India is going to be worst country of the world.
Everyone one of us can have our own opinion. We belong to democratic country, such kind of decision of government is raising point to human rights.
Its not a matter of who did this, either it be some pundit or some schedule cast person. If anyone is doing mistake, he should not be tolerated, either he be anyone.
Senior congress leaders should interfear and should take back such decision. I still believe congress is better in comparison to any else political party of india.

Dismiss Anbumani Ramdoss
by Ramanujam Narayan on Jul 05, 2006 11:09 PM  Permalink

Sir,

It is an irony that a well acclaimed doctor like Venugopal is shown the door on the whims and fancy of Health minister.

The voters of this country has voted these people to give good governance and if they do not do it the voters should have the right to dismiss them the very moment then wait for their term to finish. This right should be vested upon the voter of this country by a consititution amendmend as early as possible. Then only these unscrouplous politicians will not act with an eye on the vote.

heinous crime!!!
by arun on Jul 05, 2006 11:05 PM  Permalink

it is sad that an eminent and sincere person, a man who has given his life for his country (which our politicians cannot even begin to fathom!)is treated in such a cavalier manner. what is his crime? he is being dismissed on purely political grounds for having acted against the health minister. so much for our commitment towards democracy! this is a dangerous precedent set, and if this is allowed to happen, our country will not be worth living in! a doctor who has sacrificed so much should not be treated thus without atleast being given a chance for explanation. the whims and fancies of our health minister should not murder democracy!

Let us come in politics,
by VRaj on Jul 05, 2006 10:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All,

Educated guys it is time to come now upfront and creat our own party and represent ourself in politics, these people do not deserve to be an MP. What is the profile of these MP's few of them have murder charges and few of them have rape charges, it is high time to replace these people with good educated and high profile people who done some thing for the public and who have worked for larger public interest some time in their life.

Regards,
VRaj

Its beginning, not the end
by Girish on Jul 05, 2006 10:20 PM  Permalink

First, there is still a day or two till its official. Second, as the parasites of country suck, India must be prepared for its Atlas Shrugged. Third, these political steps have seriously bad implications, it affects the discovery of new medicine, new treatments, people and things which have the power to save, change and improve lives including that of those who stall it.

Mera Bharat Mahan
by D.R. Mohanty on Jul 05, 2006 09:57 PM  Permalink

Today in my country a distinguished doctor who performed India's first heart transplant has been sacked as the director of AIIMS. However, in much senior positions remain people like Sahabuddin,Laloo,Sukhram etc. Really Mera Bharat Mahan.. This time I will definitely make it a point to vote. This is a commitment to my conscience. Mr PM, just wait n watch how the youth will throw your party to the dustbin.
