We need an India based on merit
by R K Bhatia on Jul 04, 2006 11:11 AM  Permalink

You have done excellent study in identifying the numbers which upper castes hold in India. You are right HINDUS HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO MINORITY IN HINDUSTAN AND DO NOT HAVE ANY SAY.

It is high time Hindus should unite and teach a lesson to Congress as well as to BJP. To congress because it has all along tried to benefit other communities at the cost of Hindus only and has adopted all methods to belittle Hindus.

To BJP, because it has tried to encash the current conditions of Hindus and has done nothing for Hindus when came to power.

I srongly feel that there is urgent need to create a plantform for Hindus, which should unite all hindus irrespective of their political/geographical status.

inequality in indian society
by viewer on Jul 04, 2006 10:55 AM  Permalink

it will take a long long.....time to eradicate this inequality of caste from indian society.people feel so proud about their caste.you do not know.in all top positions of india the percentage of lower caste people is negligible.nobody can deny this truth.to implement any reservations in govt.based offices is again in higher caste people's hands.where also we may not get justice.caste is not seen with our eyes.our character only will lift us spiritually to great heights.

Well said..

I agree with all that is said here. We whould stop this differential treatment based on caste and work to make people of great caliber from all castes. The world should take note of Indian people's abilities. Ths rule of congress is destroying India. 20 years back they could have gotten away with this as India was terribly uneducated, but not now. We are not fools anymore to not understand what the ulterior motives of the govt policies are. I HATE THIS INDIAN GOVT. I HATE CONGRESS>

Whatz ur point
by RIshi Markenday on Jul 04, 2006 07:16 AM  Permalink

I thought that ur article meant to show the pointlessness of the invisible classes in India...all u r doing is showing the opression that so called "brahmins" go through...u r not helping the situation...the only good thing is that u r making a distinction between social classes and economic classes that India needs to see!!

Sincerely,
A so called "brahmin"(at least that's what my parents told me)

What did the OUC do with their smartness, power for centuries? Why did they not fight for the inequality then?

P.S I am an OBC ... and agree that merit is the way to go ... no matter what happened to me or my fore fathers

Dear Prasanth, history will always divide, and history once known can never be put back or forgotten, it lives forver. What is your opinion, can there be peace? What are the chances, will we see civil war or low intensity conflict like Naxalites or Sri Lanka in the next 50 years? Is India just land or its people? If it is land, what to do with the 150 million upper caste people..partition or annihilation...these are questions to be coming up shortly...I wish I knew the answer.

India Based on Merit..
by Rakesh Choubey on Jul 04, 2006 04:27 AM  Permalink

I totally agree with the Idea of India on Merrit.Being a brahmin I do wonder whats going to be our fate in India. If anything to be done on this issue I will be always willing to support an OUC like banner to help people of India ..rather to help India in the long run.
