We need an india
by suman on Jul 04, 2006 12:54 PM  Permalink

Very well said but under the upa brand of sucularism what auther said is most communal. b'cuz secular politicans thinks that only xians, muslims and dalit & obcs are poor and these power hungry politicans will do anything for vote bank politics. Under tag of minority upliftment, upa is following the divide and rule policy. divide hindu society more and wide the gap between hindus and muslims
this will create more hostality in the minds of citizens.

when do intelligent people realize this fact??
by neel on Jul 04, 2006 12:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This article is very true and I also wonder when do intelligent people realise about there power. When will they stop being well wisher for others and not for them? In India, they suffer major discrimination in terms of social justice and right to be an Indian. It is very easy to be SC / ST or muslim to fight according to law because they have advatage by being SC/ST. and why is this? Upper castes well wishes and congress government rulling brought them here. Right now childrens of SC/St have more facilities than Ouuper caste people. Why?? because government is giving them free and let Income tax follow ouuper caste. They never consider that SC/ST spends more than Upper cate(if we consider the gifts given by government)

Dear Neel, you must admit that to this day atrocities do go on against Dalits. Maybe Brahmans are not the majority ones committing physical atrocities on them, but still there are issues. Should we just stand by and watch...if we help will they appreciate? Or will they still want more revenge? There in lies the answer to whether India will be a single nation this century.

Humanity- universal caste.
by Mohan on Jul 04, 2006 12:13 PM  Permalink

The etymologyical meaning of Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra is totally misconstrued.Brahmana means, one who is learned Kshatriya means, one who has the muscle power to protect the country, vaishya means, one who produces for the livelihood of the society and most important of all Shudra means, one who offers services to all others. Now as such we do not see Kshatriya or Vaishya except as a caste as almost all are into these areas. Now remain two classes, one who is learned and the other who serves. The people in the govt.in power are neither knowledgeable nor serving the society,so they are neither brahmana nor shudra so they do not even qualify to be called Human beings, becuse a Human has to have atleast one of these qualities.Hence they do not even deserve the place in this Holy land let alone the power. So now the need of the hour is, the Brahmana should become shudra to serve the nation and bring UNITY and the Shudra should become Brahmana to learn and understand the intention of the dirty politics of the Govt. to divide the country. No need to say that the jobs of Kshatriyas and Vaishyas is being handeled by others also,so they too should try to be Brahmana and Shudra.

Rise Brahmins
by shyamala on Jul 04, 2006 12:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sir,
Thank God You are taking up our cause(Brahmins and OUC).and also thankfully you are allowed to write in this country. If we talk in favour of OUC then we are straight away asked to shutup.
Ok i agree with you that there has to be unity .But now we need to a strategy. How do we all meet. How do we represent ourselves. We need someone in the govt only then it is possible .
In your previous article you had written no news paper was ready to print the fact the Brahmins worked as toilet cleners, richshaw pullers and their salary was below Rs.150 per month. Now how do we rectify this without having an organisation.
OBC love to castigate the brahmins but within themselves they do have caste politics.Like vanniyar did not allow dalits to cross their village. So every where it is there.
Only when we stop asking for caste in application forms we will become Indians first and religion and region Second.Yes the patriotism has to grow.We have to ful fill Our President Dr.AbdulKalams's wish of making India a developed country By 2020.I would love to stay in India So also My husband and children. My son who has just got into IIT also wants to be in India. But Can we be here ?

Dear Shyamala, I wish I could give you a positive answer. But the answer I feel is maybe not what you like. The days of Brahmin usefulness in India are over, your son will do much better abroad. Even with discrimination, he will be safe, and you can join him later. It is either that, or a possible disenfranchisement very soon. Or worse, a low intensity civil war and resulting pogroms upon Brahmins. Future is uncertain.

CASTE
by G Shashikanth on Jul 04, 2006 11:58 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When GOD had created this UNIVERSE there was no CASTE. We have created these CASTES. We share ONE SUN, ONE MOON, ONE EARTH. This proves that the CASTE is only ONE that is Human Being and there is only one GOD- We call HIM in different names thats all. Then where is the question of Brahmin, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, SC, ST, OBCs ete. I dont know why we dont understand this simple logic. Is reservation really required then?

we need an india based on merit
by pournima on Jul 04, 2006 11:48 AM  Permalink

We need an india based on merit and not on caste. why this congress govt don't understand this simple logic may be bacause they are more interested in collecting votes then to make india future bright. now everyday we are either travelling, eating in restaurants, studying in school, playing with dalits or OBC, I never found any difference today.May be in past they would have suffered but today there is nothing and why we today's generation today's student should suffer because we had not done anything, and whatever was happened was in between our ancestors and their ancestors. today's dalits are not at all suffering well they are enjoying all the benefits, reservations.
In colleges admission should be based on merit and merit only and if govt wants to do some help then they may help financially it should not be caste based but they may see the basic salaries of the parents.students from lower income family may get some concessions in fees but not direct admission even if he/she is OBC or Dalit.

perfect!
by lovel on Jul 04, 2006 11:45 AM  Permalink

finally someone intelligent has been able to see through teh sinister designs of the sonia madam led government which has made the second partition of India a reality! today people are being divided into different fractions very systematically and nobody, in the heat of the moment, is ready to give the topic a balanced analysis.

ITS SO IRONICAL THAT THE SAME CONGRESS WHO WORSHIPS GANDHI HAS FORGOTTEN THAT GANDHIJI ONCE SAID"a tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye makes the world blind"

today they are actually telling the same thing to the Indian citizens that "see the upeer caste people did so and so with you for centuries, its time for u to take ur revenge!"

Shame on sonia gandhi!

I certainly won't vote for Manmohan Singh, despite his economic policies, which at the moment seem to be good. He is a boneless PM, and he is letting his cronies divide the country, especially Hindus, in the name of caste.
