I really do not know what the purpose of aggrandizing Lord VP singh here is for? This article has no real relevance at this conjuncture. The point is no one really cares for Mr VP singh anymore and Mr Praful Bidwai has probbaly been paid a lot of money to clout for VP, alas it is going to be of no use at all. Well tried Mr Bidwai. I am an educated Indian and i know what India needs better than you or Bidwai and am sure there are plenty of Indians know what is the need of the hour. You say Praful Bidwai must have been paid heavily for the article, then what about gautier ,is he is being paid in millions by the corporate houses who orchestrated the recent Reservation Drama?
What rubbish!!! VP Singh is for all practical purposes, persona non grata in the Indian political landscape. He's crawled out from the rocks only for his biography. The only "contribution" he has made to Indian society is the Mandal reservation and we know how that went...I've no idea what Bidwai is smoking, but I sure want some of that :)
We can just hope and pray that VP Singh spares the nation from misguided and disastrous public policies that will severely impede the country's growth. It has taken a while for India to recognize the benefits of a free-market and we cannot afford pinheads like VP to steer us back to the Dark ages of mediocrity and irrelevance on the global stage. He needs to be consigned to the trash-bin of Marxism/Socialism and the author can join him there and spare us from ludicrous drivel.
I think Mr Bidwai is unnecessarily impressed by Mr VP Singh.Being a non political man,I see Mr VP Singh and also think people of India would think the same way,,as the greatest cheat.Reason being Two- 1.He came to power promising he will nail down the Bofors kickbacks people,he never did that,befooled the whole country instead. 2.He brought a big divide in Indian Soceity in form of Mandal,which is not going to bring thought of equality in people of India,not for next 1000 years.
He is not a political messiah or a statesman as u want to project.He betrayed his own leader and even 20 years of bofors drama -he couldnt nail rajiv gandhi.people like him have encouraged moral bankruptcy and incompetence in India. It is high time media learns to ignore people like him and arjun sing etal and be more responsible in what it writes. Infact people who are mentally bankrupt like the above mentioned leader-should be debarred from al walks of life.
VP Singh is the man who created Mandal Commission for vote politics. He is using tax payers money for his cancer treatment.. dont know if he needs so much words of praise... and everyone felicitates one another as thats how politics survives..
The article completely forgets that any body stokes communal feeings and tries to bask on thesame cannot be called any leader.Afterall what is contribution to the independent india.abig zero. a) VP Singh rode on the wave of anti-Rajiv hysteria due to his playing the Bofors card. He never delivered on the subject. I dont mean, there was nothing substatial in the Bofors allegations. What I mean is that he let the country down.
b) He is the one who re-started the class divide and played the Mandal card. Very distructive. He got cheap, short term, political gains but destryoyed national harmony and character.

Chella pandian, the same manner in which you support VP Singh(just cos you think he's a supporter of OBC) is why we support Francois Gautier.Is truth bitter,huh?DOn't begin caste into this equation.How do you know Ravi belongs to upper caste?I'll say,Iam a Brahmin but currently not in the upper caste. Even after Mandal, did you know that 85% of the targeted sections of the society are still in doldrums.It will be people like Mulayam,Lalu, Ramdoss who gets the benefits.And why the hell would they need the benefits?In what way are they deprived of a quality education, finances etc. And you who have access to the web(probably owning a PC), in what way should you benefit from the reservation?What is lacking in you?Answer to these honestly.Don't divide society based on caste.Jai Hind Sridhar.

Mr Ravi The author's articles are far, far better than the inflmatory ones by francois gautier.If an article does not praise you upper caste guys then the author has bad credentials is it? V.P.Singh is known as the Mandal Messiah & rightly so.The very fact that 1000s of backward caste homes are having food,clothing & shelter today is because of Mr Singh who to them is a messiah indeed!
