The most insignificant leader
by Indian on Jul 04, 2006 11:40 AM  Permalink

If fighting for votes based on caste is any criterion and dividing a country on those lines is any standard, then VP Singh will surely take the cake. The writer is so biased that even commenting on this article would be ridiculous.

stop this crap!
by lovel on Jul 04, 2006 11:35 AM  Permalink

what a convenient way to put forward your pro-reservation thoughts and send India back to the dark ages! shame on you for writing such a biased article about one of the most hated people in Indian politics.Everyone knows today that people like V P Singh, Mayawati,Mulayam singh Yadv, Laloo Prasad Ydav are just playing with all these "caste cards" and "equality for all sections of society" for getting votes and nothing else! There has been nil progress in any part fo Indis where these people have done any "social service". They are only hell bent on another partition of INDIA!

STOP WRITING SUCH IRRELEVANT DANGEROUS COMMUNAL CRAP!

VP Singh relevant? bah!
by shetty on Jul 04, 2006 11:27 AM  Permalink

VP Singh is as relevant to mordern India as a comb is to a bald man. He implemented a report based on 1931 census which has divided India on caste lines.

Rajiv Gandhi's rebuttal of his politics should open Praful Bidwai's eyes. In an era where casteism is on decline, current politicians are trying their best to revive it to further their political career goals.

Today the alienation in society has reached such a level that no debate on reservation is possible without one being labelled either anti-Dalit or anti-Brahmin.

VP Singh is a sin
by Ramki on Jul 04, 2006 11:15 AM  Permalink

Hi,
I don't understand how author is heaping praise to this man, who is a opportunist, castetist and was a weak PM. Surely he is waging a battle against cancer on tax payers money. He is known for his betrayal.., esp w.r.t Rajiv Gandhi. He is a sin for the entire nation.
