All said and done I really see no fear that India will be taken over by any one. We have seen so many invasions and been under opressive rule for so long and still have been able to keep our identity alive.
The article truly analyzes the present scenario in the country. Every word is worth it's weight in gold. I am glad a foreigner is able to understand this country, its culture and the ethos so minutely and could express it so touchingly. His concern reflects mine and millions of fellow Hindus. You have echoed my heartbeat friend - truly. Those who reacted angrily and offensively to this article are the true betrayers of Hinduism. They are opportunists who are afraid that writings like these may awaken Hindus against the situation and are worried about a slowing down of the process of proseletyzation which is in overdrive eversince the pope visited this country during the reign of BJP and given an open call to convert India and Asia in his 'Ecclesia in Asia'. They are worried about a reaction from the Hindus. I feel such a reaction is slowly taking shape - not from opportunist political parties like BJP or movements like VHP(which have done the most harm to the spirit of Hinduism by the demolition of the sacred Babri Masjid), but from the common hindu. Ordinary Hindus are waking up, grouping together and are trying to find a way and a direction. Let us only hope it will be peaceful
wonderful article. hindus have such a poor opinion of themselves that they get bashed by all the minorities in their own country. then they say that they are so great that they encourage all communities, hindus must first stop being weak and hypocritical.
In terms of money..... due to britishers not only hindus but india has also become poor........... they took all the wealth with them....golds, diamonds etc and many more were either stolen from kings other wise with the various trading policy they took them.........
But in terms of culture..... knowledge, hinduism, vedic science, mathematics, ayurveda, medicine, arts etc..... INDIA is rich and i am proud to be a Hindu and also to be an INDIAN
This is one of the most meaningless articles i have ever read..Christian minister in kerala ..conversion. Atleast this person should do some research before wrting a story like this and rediff should quote stories of people who write based on facts.
A good and enlightening article on contemporary state of 'NUMBERS GAME' of the ethnic community, in competition to outsmart each other: viz Christians, Muslims, HINDUS, Budhists (?) and some, who are 'above all religions', aiding all such manifestations - at present the least in numbers game -! Consequences thereof are indeed a matter of worry. Still on date, the Hindus are a majority in a tiny Nation called NEPAL & of course in India (in numeric terms) where all out efforts had been there for centuries and are still on to change the demographic structure by 'misguided internal as well as external' forces. The problem has various dimensions for which the entire nation has to be on guard. TV Kumar
