Indeed, modest.. after all the young humble man made a statement of fact "off-record" to press that he could easily become the youngest PM of the country if he wants!! Indeed modest!!
Just reminds me of this: Brutus: what was the noise? Casca: why, there was a crown offered him: and being offered him, he put it by with the back of his hand, thus; and then the people fell a-shouting B: what was the second noise for? C:why, for that too. Cassius: They shouted thrice..? Brutus: was the crown offered thrice Casca:Ay, marry, was't, and he put it by thrice, every time gentler than other, and at every putting-by mine honest neighbours shouted.....when he perceived the common herd was glad he refused the crown, he plucked me ope his doublet and offered them his throat to cut.......Three or four wenches, where I stood, cried 'Alas, good soul!' and forgave him with all their hearts: but there's no heed to be taken of them; if Caesar had stabbed their mothers, they would have done no less.
Thanks Mr. Saisuresh, for refreshing my memory and proclaiming softly "long live dynastic politics". Sonia Gandhi and her cotrie would be proud.

India is least bothered about dynasty politics.Whether it's the Congress or BJP,every party seems to be waking up to all-in-the-family politics.Varun Gandhi,Manavendra Singh,Stalin,H.D.Kumaraswamy,Navin Patnaik,Akhilesh Yadav, the list is endless.. Development-both social and economic,is the only thing that matters today for Indians. If Delhi is way ahead of BJP-ruled states on this,it hardly matters who does it,Sheila Dikshit or her son Sandeep. Take a look at the countries around us.What do you have to say about Benazir Bhutto,Chandrika Kumaratunga,George Bush,Khaleda Zia?
It takes time for Rahul to build character and image of his own. Till then the weight of the great icons, jawahar, Indira will be pulling him down, though he is from same family, as the expectations will be much higher.
Please let Rahul start his lessons from the grass root level and come up on his own merits. Do not put him on pedestal and start worshipping him. He will be of no use to any body, least to the country.
Seriously what are Rahul Gandhi's credentials for being the leader that India is so desperately seeking. As a matter of fact I did not even know that we were seeking a leader in the first place. this country runs on its own momentum, no person can take credit for steering the nation. Coming back to the topic other than having the Gandhi genes what else does Rahul Gandhi possess? He was a below average student who made it to all the right places with family connections. He got 50 something % in his board exams and then got into St Stephens on a sports quota seat!!!!!!! Neddless to say we never saw him gracing any sportsfield or even recollect him being a sportsperson of any repute. He to my best knowledge has never held a job on his own merit. He was enjoying the jetsetting life to the hilt when his ambitious mother decides its time for beta raja to get home and claim his kingdom!!!!! So how is he qualified to lead us? Does he have any idea of what life is like for the average Indian. Please we have had enough of the Camelot like administrations run by his father, granmother and how can we forget mother. Please is that the best we Indians can do!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is Rahul what India Needs - sure !

I differ with you in entirety. Rahul Gandhi has what a billion could hanker for acceptability (plus sonia gandhis sacrificing spirit, plus priyankas sophistication, Rajiv Gandhis clean image, Indirajis charisma and yea your patriotism and a majority vote share as well for sure. Would you rather, that we have a Shoot at sight PM !
