Is Rahul Gandhi the answer?
by DeBee on Jan 24, 2006 01:07 AM  Permalink

Answer is both "YES" and "NO". "NO" because Like many congresies believe , having a Gandhi as surname does not qualify him for the most respected position of our country. First he need to prove himself that he is capable leader to lead the country like india. Our people are not bliend enough to foresee this. "YES" if he will be able to prove himself ...

Rahul

The people in the congress are sycophantic leaders who always tend to project the people from the Gandhi family as great leaders.First illogical thing is that they some how try to relate all the members of the Gandhi family to Mahatama Gandhi with whom most of the new members share anything in common other than the lastname. For all those who say a youngster must rule a country is an absurd thing anywhere in the world the first thing that needs to given credence is the experience a person has in that field and the knowledge he has about the field and it has got nothing to do with his family name or being a son of so and so. It is always the experience that needs to be taken into account as far as Rahul is concerned he has no experience and knowledge of what the problems in India really,he has always been surrounded by political people but that doesnt mean he is going to be good administrator just because he has the knowledge of politics.Politics is one thing and able administration is other thing. Most of the leaders are politicians but very few of them are statesman, able administrators.

Rahul as a Leader?
by Vijay on Jan 24, 2006 12:33 AM  Permalink

I think if we think on merit(Keeping aside the dynasty politics etc.)he is both immature and unfit for the position. And his being so,his young age becomes a factor against him.
An unfit and immature leadership if young has potential to do maximum damage.Let GOD save our country.

NO..please stop dynasty politics.
by Morr on Jan 24, 2006 12:13 AM  Permalink

Rahul is smart (on looks) ... he can try modeling, but why continue dynasty politics for a developed country like India ? He doesn\'t have experience, didn\'t do anythign while sitting in parliament, just that he is son of gandhi family doesn\'t provide him enough credentails to rule the country. please. NO

Is Rahul Gandhi the answer?
by pallavi on Jan 23, 2006 10:12 PM  Permalink

At this point of time, when any intelligent, educated citizen is hardly interested in the political scene in India, Rahul Gandhi does evoke a response. Partly because a lot of people who matter - like the middle class, the urban working class, the nouveau rich, are impressed by his indifference to power, and to be able to associate him to give Indians and the Congress Party concrete evidence of development. Well,if he is the answer to the Congress, he is doing a fine job of avoiding the power, which does not significantly a charecterisitic of a congress person. The first power struggle for him would probably begin at home, where he would have to teach and reach out to millions of Indians still fixated over royal rulers.
Coming from a complete apolitical person, I think Rahul is not the answer, nor is he the problem.
To expect him to carry the burden is also not fair enough, but at the rate which Congress leaders have fallen like a pack of cards in the face of corrupt practices over the decades, he has no choice but to give the HAND a helping hand. Leaders are born, leadership is not thrust upon them. So let's wait and see, if He is the answer or what??

Is Rahul the right man.
by Tinu on Jan 23, 2006 09:20 PM  Permalink

Be it right or wrong , if the members of the Congress wants him to be the leader of thier party, they can bcos its thier right. But if India wants there are elections held every 5 years and till date People have excepted him. When the people want him then the rest of you who are talking abt dynasty or slavery just shut up. Rahul can will surely learn a lot and will be at the top post at the near future.
