Rahul
by Piyush on Jan 25, 2006 07:20 PM  Permalink

I am unable to understand why we Indian (espcially Congress followers) feels that Our country is just an experimental laboratory for Nehru-Ghandi family. Why such question nere arises for some other Great Leader.

let him learn
by pradeep on Jan 25, 2006 07:04 PM  Permalink

Let him learn. Let him work at the grass roots. What is the hurry. Let him prove his abilities outside Nehru-Gandhi dynasity. We will all be very proud to have him as a leader with proven track record.

r gandhi
by arjun on Jan 25, 2006 06:57 PM  Permalink

Our country needs a leader in true sense of the word. So whether its Rahul gandhi or anyone else, he/she should be given a fair chance.

If Rahul gandhi proves to be a good leader, then its good for our country, otherwise it slavery again.

Anyway, i dont think rahul gandhi is being chosen, for his visions, brilliance, leadership etc etc... its quite obvious, anyone with his lineage would have been in the same place.... so, no points to him.

And what about other senior workers in his party.... those who toiled for so many years... its not 'fair' to them either.

blah...blah...blah...
thanks

CONGress and India
by sukumar on Jan 25, 2006 06:41 PM  Permalink

Congress snatched away more opportunities when a gandhi or nehru was sitting on the chair. Compare the rule of Rao and any of the gandhis.. When Gandhis are there, none of the congress ministers have guts to take strong decsions. Consider the case of present PM MMS. and the series goes on.. The economy growth rates tells all.

Not a matter of opinion!
by E Ramaswamy on Jan 25, 2006 04:11 PM  Permalink

This is not a matter of readers' opinion.

Rahul Gandhi is the Yuvaraja - Sri Vajpayee despite his political experience was an usurper & Sri Manmohan Singh notwithstanding his learning is only the caretaker for the throne till such time as the rightful heir is ready to take over.

Yes.. but some extent
by Ramakrishna on Jan 25, 2006 03:06 PM  Permalink

It is too early to say he is the answer to National
problems. He himself admitted that he is a student
and needs to learn. Let wait and see.

But to the party, yes he is the answer. With out
Gandhi's family, Congress won't be unit and it was
proven with the past history.

Is rahul Gandhi the answer
by Namrata on Jan 25, 2006 03:01 PM  Permalink

No i dont think that rahul is an answer , and the entire drama is also unnecessary. Leader should be known for the kind of work he has done not for the kind of family he or she belongs to. But afterall this is nothing new as far as this political party is concerned.
