Rahul
by S. VIKASH on Jan 23, 2006 05:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why Rahul? Only because he belongs to Gandhi Family? I am really disturbed to see the way so called senior leaders of Congress are idulged in a all time high CHAMCHAGIRI. What merit Rahul has? Can any congress man tell me? I am very sorry to feel that Madam Sonia Gandhi is ruling our great nation by default. She has selected and hand picked our P.M. Is it not an insult to the office of our prime minister? Ours is a democracy, not monarchy, where a king or queen SELECTS a puppet PMs etc. I am loss of words to note that we have to answer even these questions about a young man like Rahul to accept him as our PM? We indian shouls rise now to ensure that any man like Rahul does not become PM without any struggle.

R gandhi ka answer
by ranjunath govind on Jan 23, 2006 05:08 PM  Permalink

Without considering the hindupeople in north india, the movement will be very tough in north india.Congress has to submit that during their rule they have been ruined the hindus all over in india.

They may come for a while but the term will be short.Similarly the mentality of Majority hindus are already attracted towards BJP becuase of congreess behaviour towards Hindus.

In Karnataka the major pulses that I came to understand is most of the people I met Be they from other states or natives .All of them are very much eager to welcome the BJP coalition govt in the state.

i TALKED ABOUT WHAT i FELT

Comment on the Rahul for Congress
by Ramu on Jan 23, 2006 05:03 PM  Permalink

Firstly :Rahul is a novice in politics and the issue is internal to congress party.
There has been no internal election in the party for years now, how a democracy can run on a party which does not believe in electing a leader for themselves.
Then how can a layman like me undersatnd that he is popular figure in terms mass popularity in otherwords he can convince the the entire nation about his ideas of governance and carry more than 100 crore people with him towards a progressive nation.
Moreover I feel that there is a section in congress for whom these symbols will help them to keep them in power, ultimately if we see our pastexperience with Rajiv Gandhi he was elected with best majority in history of India and the very next elections he was defeated and laso killed because of some wrong decision making in the past.It means there is somebody who is using their power for enriching themselves like Natwar Singh and co.
The Family should take a hard look at the past and should learn lessons from their past and probably guarding themselves from these sycophants who are purely selfish selling the family's brand image and wielding lot of power.

If older congressmes don't have leadership quality how could younger one have
by Pankaj on Jan 23, 2006 04:59 PM  Permalink

I just want to say that if the older leaders of congress party dont feel confident of choosing one of them as there leader, then how can they rely on a totally inexperienced person like Rahul Gandhi. Iam just fed up of this drama. India is a democracy not a Monarchy. We need a leader who knows complete india not only Amethi.

Actually, why not chant for Rahul Gandhi's unborn son to join the Congress?
by N Chauhan on Jan 23, 2006 04:53 PM  Permalink

Project your mind 25 years into the future. Rahul Gandhi has a progeny. Hopefully for India, it is a male child. There's a Congress Party meeting on. They're chanting for Rahul Gandhi's son to join the Congress, to take the reins of the party in his manicured hands. He obliges ever so gently, with a condescending smile. After all, it is his birthright....

Those of you who are in your twenties should be in your fourties or early fifties then. Tell me, is this the future you want for yourself and your country? If so, lets start chanting for Rahul Gandhi's son to join the Congress Party right now. Why wait 25 years?

Lets get real about this, people. If we don't stem this sycophantic rot now, we're dooming ourselves for the next century. And also preventing other future leaders from emerging. As they say, we create our own future...

Rahul Gandhi
by Prashanth on Jan 23, 2006 04:42 PM  Permalink

Pls guys ..give a break..why do u indians still need a man with a gandhi surname..is that all the qualification that one requires to b a leader?? The congressman were, are and forever live as boot lickers of the gandhi family. and it surprises me that even the older men who are on their deathbed still chant that the gandhi`s are their only saviours or that only they have the capability of becoming leaders.. can`t those elder leaders ever think that they ahve the experience to b better leaders than sonia or rahul or priyanka?? The sycopancy has been reaching greater heights with every increasing day. The same so calle dleaders will one day not hesisate to include the servants of the gandhi family to the post of ministers, just bcos they have been serving the gandhi family... So pls Indains..wake up..and let us elect leaders who have the real capacity to be our leaders..
