Rahul Gandhi
by anil on Jan 23, 2006 08:57 PM  Permalink

Sir,
I feel that there is nothing wrong with rahul assuming greater role in the party, after all the people of the country have voted for them and supported them whether for the family name or otherwise. It is not as if they arecrowned as the heirs of the party. It is ultimately the people of the country that chose if someone stays in favour or not.And the Nehru-Gandhi family inspite of what the Sangh Parivar would have us believe, has made great sacrifices for the country and the people of India acknowledge this fact whether anybody likes it or not.Though my personal feeling is that Priyanka would have been a better choice to lead the party and hopefully the country with the bleesings and votes of people of India

Politics no game for novices
by amit on Jan 23, 2006 08:51 PM  Permalink

Being a Gandhi is like being a part of a monarchy.Anybody who happens to be a part of the family inherits the clout and the power of indias first family.
Sonia gandhi remains a novice even after being around the corridors of power in delhi. Her inability to handle simple interviews shows that she is totally unawares of political environment. Yet she manages to hang on the reigns of congress party.
Rahul Gandhi is a disaster and the bjp must be licking its lips in anticipation for the eventual coronation.
No name holds such a clout in the political firmanent as the gandhi name. The kennedys were active for quite a while in united states of america but they didnt appropiate the party name in a manner that the congress have done.
The problem lies in the party. The lacunnae is so wide that it is difficult to fill the chasm between what is actually required and what is avialable. Therefore the attempt to hang on to the gandhi name.

is rahul gandhi the answer?
by lakshmi bitragunta on Jan 23, 2006 08:20 PM  Permalink

No...,No one should become a national leader simply by belonging to a great family/brand.That too in current times, India really needs leaders who can foresee the future and current challenges for our country and strat working now to resolve them.India surely needs young leaders but not necessarily from a branded family.True young people should emerge as the leaders irrespective of their background. If rahul is so sincere and willing to work hard for the country ,then we can welcome him.

Yes, he will but it will take time !!!
by GB on Jan 23, 2006 07:51 PM  Permalink

Yes, he is the answer....But it will take time as he has to gain experience in the turbulent Indian Politics. It is better to gain experience and start...than start without experience. There is lot of time available for him to become a true leader....

rahul- Not Another himalyan blunder
by pramod nair on Jan 23, 2006 06:51 PM  Permalink

Another gandhi ,not again. We had enough of gandhis and their minions. Before that guy rahul aspires for tht PM seat plz ask him to get a degree.Tht fellow has changed some 3 colleges without gaining any degree.so much for his competence and intelligence. We have a hybrid gandhi here with gandhi familiy's looks and sonia brains(if she has one). Its better to leave tht chapter closed for the benifit of our nation. So my advice to those congress sycophants is to shut up.Its them who ruled us for 40 yrs and ruined india.
nehruvian growth rate -2-3 percent
india- china war-humiliating defeat of india-with many batallions of punjab regiment wiped out
tibet blunder
permanent security seat in UN =lost
sikh riots
LTTE
the ahivements of gandhi family goes on
they will be better off cleaning our public toilets

He is inexperienced and arrogant.
by chanakya on Jan 23, 2006 06:50 PM  Permalink

His inexperience and arrogance can easily land him into more bofors, in the footsteps of his parents.

The DNA is the same.

However, the chamchas of gandhi family would not rest till they make this inexperienced young man the PM of Bharat Varsh.

Sab mil ke loonto !!!!

It is time for the HRD of Bharat Varsh to hunt for a more formidable and honest man to lead the nation.

Enough is enough of Gandhi family.

Quattrochchi's withdrawal of funds from the UK bank is a very serious and intolerable mockery of our people and our democracy that has been reared in the wrong shapes by Nehru and gandhis.
