Hi Everyone, Congress would not stand on its legs at this time. The shot which H.D. Kumaraswamy has given is tremendous. Only with the 64 seats congress managed upto 20 months ruled Karnataka for only name sake. No infrastructure development was in progress. It is the good step to keep Congress, Bofors and Itialian(C.B.I) outside... Let the hungry BJP enjoy the ruling oppurtunity!!!
People of karnataka have a love and hate relationship with the congress. In the last assembly elections, the BJP fell short of numbers even though they did well in the parliament segment.
People who appreciated Krishna's works felt bad that he lost and at the same felt bad that BJP did not make it.
Since the elections were held together, the voter was confused and threw up a hung assembly though it was not his intention. JD(S) coming stronger was a surprise.
Dharam Singhs Govt did not have a good name and the Panchayath elections are not any indication of his popularity. Urban voter really hated the govt and the politics of Devegowda.
Assuming the coalition of JD(S) and BJP holds the fort for 40 months the chances of Congress coming back to power is defenite on Anti Incumbancy wave. If congress is smart they should now retire to the opposition benches and expect the elections and should have a charismatic leader like Krishna to lead them. BJP's chances of coming to power after elections will be ruled out since they lack a good leader in the state.
As far as JD(S) is concerned they are the curse on Karnataka - u like it or not.
I suppose congress should learn a lesson ,wwhat happened in Bangalore.Instead a join a collation with a party ,it opess it should be better for them to sit in opposition
congress will go from strenth to strenth from now on just because the coalition government if comes to power can not survive more than two months.people will get diconted with coalition structureand they would like to have a srong govt in the state for progressive programmes.they will also put an end to family politics who are taking voters for a ride for a long time.stable govt is possible only through thinkers in the right stride without selfish motives behind each move .coalition is just a temporary arrangements and only for power hungry politicians. krish
I could not understand the Governor going ahead and addressing the assembly when the govt has already lost its majority. He should have asked the CM to prove his majority in the first instance. Its very common in our politics, the unthinkable happenning of course. But I guess clearly its unconstitutional when he's continuing to allow CM in his office.
