Gowda's Day Out
by Lester on Jan 19, 2006 11:08 AM  Permalink

Deve Gowda should be solely responsible for the current Situatuion. All his ambitions has come to a grinding halt from his own backyard.

Th only Solution is a midterm poll. New "wedlock" seems to arise out of oppurtunism rather than a political will. If a Midterm Poll is declared the electorate will give a befitting reply this time. I guess the Krishnas/Murthy's/ Siddaramaiahs have thier tails up .

If the congress had worked on development of the state &earned the goodwill of the people like in J & K PPP has done, this situation would not have come, what with Devegouda & his B team holding Karnataka to ransom & Dharam in dilemma most of the time, Congess is now in a big soup, more important all MNCs / Indian software on flight out of Karnataka

major set back to congress Ex leaders
by manjunath k on Jan 19, 2006 10:59 AM  Permalink

This is the major set back for the leaders of congress, who wants change in leadership and going for early election. They only created platform to Mr Gouda's son, As the result he is emerged as CM

For congress,it should watch and proceed until the split in either JD(s) or greedy BJP

Kar going Mah way
by Lawrence Peter on Jan 19, 2006 10:52 AM  Permalink

It happended in Mah recently in the Sen guard. Bal prefered Udhav than Raj who worked at the grassroot level.

Kumarsway - Udhav, Sidu - Narayan Rane, Raj - Sindia, Prakash, Mahadev, Gowda - Bal.

Congress have to wait & watch, They have to allign with Siddhu & work at the grassroot level for the next election.

lp

On the other hand it is not a cake walk to run a coalition, If kumar is acting like this, just imagine what happens when he completes the 20 months term to hand the CM post to BJP.

Cong Govt. remaining in power...
by nagi on Jan 19, 2006 10:47 AM  Permalink

will be determined by the buying power of cong (Dharam Singh). If he can organise the required amount by Jan 25th (the day of proving majority in Assembly) he will continue or if Kharge can organise the required fund to buy-out MLAs, he will become new CM of Karnataka...
