Guruvayur

What is amusing is that this kind of fanaticism is practised in Kerala, supposedly a progressive state ! It would have made more sense if the entry was banned as a protest to the slaughter of tamils by the Sri Lankans.

Who says Kerala is progressive? The state with a higher literacy (read-write ability) does not have writers who can think profoundly enough with adequate comprehensive vision and farsightedness to see amply serious subject in a perspective without being myopic on the adverse consequences of short-sightedness for the future wellbeing of whole and not just parts of society. How do you explain otherwise thrpe sordid truth that more than half of Keralites submitted to conversion into the world's most iin tolerant religions Islam and Christianity ? Did this stupidity occur in most of the rest of India? Due to lack of discriminatory power, the writers and half-witted "thinkers" let down the gullible Hindus who were deceived by mischievous slogans of "caste discrimination" employed for fraudulent and forced conversions leading to divisive communal feelings?

Buddhist SriLankan President prays at Kerala Hindu Temples to destroy Sri Lankan Tamil HIndus
by Edwin Navaratnam on Jun 13, 2007 12:17 PM  Permalink

This is a joke why are the Keralites so anti Tamil that they allow this genocidal racist man who has vowed t dsetroy the Tamil language and hinduism in Sri Lanka to pray for victory and give thanks to a Hindu god to destroy other Hindus. Have the Keralits forgotten their heritage, until 500 or even more recently they all spoke Tamil. I can speak Malayalam and simple spoken Malayalam is really a form of Tamil. The Indigenous Sri Lankan Tamils our the Malayalees closest ethnic kin. Other than the language the Sri Lankan Tamils by customs culture are far more close to the Keralites than to the South Indian Tamils

Why do you want others to do something for you to follow. Why cant Hinduism lead and set examples? Do you not have the confidence that as a Hindu from India, you wont be able to make your voice heard. Grab the opportunities and market yourself and your community. Otherwise like what is happening, India will always be following the west!!

We are from a country who was ready to make an Italian our Prime Minister. No other country showed that kind of guts and confidence without the fear of losing control. Let us be brave and take bold actions and make the world know about. Stop the untouchability practice!

Unfortunate
by Caroline on Jan 18, 2006 06:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It's a matter of great shame that even today such thoughts do exist. Not because I am a Christian, but because at the end of the day, it does not matter if my neighour is a Christian / Jew / Hindu etc., in matter of trials, he or she is not going to come and look at my religion and then help me. We need to really wake up and remove such unfortunate and orthodox thoughts from our minds.

Ancient hindus used to eat cow meat. Besides there is also the scientific fact that beef is full of protein which is essential for our malnourished children.

i am very sad to hear that even today after india is aspiring to become a super power in the future we have temples which restrict people of other faiths...i guess we have a long way to go towards freedom in real sense.
