I whole heartedly agree with mr Gautier, to make a supreme spiritual council of at least seven most popular spiritual hindu leader under the leadership of sri sri ravi shanker ( most suitable leader ). may be this is the biggest gift to the generations to come.
I agree with contents of the article. It is becoming impossible for hindus to live in their own country. But each time any crisis has taken over hinduism, there is some external force, which saves it from becoming extinct. Hinduism is like the ocean. Nothing can do any harm to it. Atleast not in the long run. Other faiths will end up merging into hinduism. This is for sure.
i'm totally agree with what is said in the article. hindus need to unite. its no non-hindu who is danger to the hinduism but we have blacksheeps among ourselves who are ready to sell hinduism i order to be applauded by wetern media. we better do away with our differences and nonsense acts like dowry as soon as possible other wise the future is bleak. but i dont support fully the idea of making a group gurus as the head of hinduism. regards avdhesh
I am very much pleased with your writings not because I am a Hindu or you are praising Hinduism but because you are the one of those few who have interpreted Hinduism or Hindutva correctly. It is not a religion but is a way of life,it applies to the whole mankind. It was not preached for any segment or section that is why one can see so much broad heartedness in Hinduism. That is why it is referred as SANAATANA DHARMA. But when it comes to Gurus, who preach the same tolerance, they differ among themselves thus scatter the power of Hinduism.First and foremost we must all realise and recognise ourselves as Hindus and we must strive to be united.Together we progress and fight for the progress. These communists must understand that they too are Hindus. One who cannot respect his own mother and mother land cannot be respected. This what Sir Jhon Woodroffe had said in Calcutta I quote "these Indians should first become true Indians only then SWARAJ becomes meaningfull". his words are more relevant today than they were then.Youngsters are madly after the western way of life it is very pathetic. I thank you again and request you to write more eye opening articles.
Every hindu in India and abroad should start spreading slogan immd'tly "HINDUISM IS MORE A PHILOSOPHY THAN RELIGION". Hinduism should never be compared with any other religion. IT is a faith,a philosophy. IT is to be studied,to be taught not to practice only. World Hindus Unite.
As is stated here, hindu's lack Unity They should have one leader( who shld only be a RELIGIOUS leader).
But the moment we get to the point of selecting a Hinud Leader, there will be fight (real sick fight for it). big struggle for power.
eventually , unfortunately, this religion will die out.
what we need is a new brand of united hinduism which is tune with new realities..
while spirituality of the past needs to continue the bad practices of the past must be eradicated. (especially infighting)
Then perhaps we can hope for a bright future for our Religion.
lastly, most importantly ,we all need to be proud of the fact that we are Hindus. and expect others to accept this fact. There is no apologies in feeling such Pride about ones religion
The author is completely biased against the communists. Why don't he talk about the killing which occurred in one of this famed matt. Why doesn't these "great hindu gurus" reveal their actual assets. Who told that they are hindu gurus. I believe them to be gurus for their own good. A huge fan following doesn't mean they are great people. Why don't he tak about the hindus who are vegetarians who have been taken for a ride by this swami. Brinda Karat is fighting against that, not against the swami's principles. Anyone who knows ayurveda can tell that there is no need for adding human extracts to medicines. And the author who is a fanatic is trying to convert this fight into a communal thing by bringing in the Hindu angle into it. These type of people should be barred from writing such articles.
Hi, It was well written article. I share your sympathy towards all these gurus. But still it is an utopian concept that you have proposed. Why did you choose Sri Ravi shankar as head? What makes you think that others are not well travelled? I am not against him nor supporting others. I think the problem lies in Hinduism itself. It is easy to blame on the religion but throughout the years the principle message of hinduism has been lost and everyone is misguiding others for materialistic pleasures and other stuff.
