This is really a great thought, if all Hindu gurus come together India can regain its lost glory. "Hindutva is not religion its way of life". But when we see people from same religion not accepting their own people (castisim, untouchbility etc), we wonder when things will go better. With globalization and media attention things are improving. I dont agree that English Media gave negative image of Swami Ramdeo. Almost all the channels shown that more than 90% of the people are with Swami Ramdeo. Its really sad that Ms Karat can make such stupid comment. She will learn her lesson with time. People like Sri Sri Ravishankar, Swami Ramdeo, Sai Baba were there in past as well but they never reached to so many people because there was no proper medium.
I would like to know from Mrs.Karat ! Is human and animals skulls and bone are aviable on roads and in the required quantity that Guru RamDev can purchase and used in manufacturing drugs.Further, Mrs.Karat when you have love for Hindu Veg.
"This humble farmer possesses the knowledge that there is a something deeper than the skin and the mind, and a life beyond death" "I know there is something mysterious and unfathomable in the manifestation of the Divine upon earth, and that each guru has a defined task to fulfill and that the combined task of all the gurus may solve the great puzzle that is this ignorant and suffering earth." "Hindus leaders, unite, if you want eternal Dharma to survive."
Interesting article, but contradicts itself as the above mentioned passages shows"
As far as edicts are concerned, we have seen the kind of power craze that develops out of such a council!
I guess the beauty of hinduism is the diversity, the choice, and the freedom.
All the so called attacks have not made a dent over the long history of Hinduism. So I dont see how will it make a difference in the future.
...............is required to revive Hinduism in this world. As usual, Francis' article is very well written. It is true that Hinduism is on the decline today only because of its disunity. Many sects and even more sub sects have diluted the religion of Hinduism. Internal conflicts have been the bane for this.
statament given by Vrinda karat against guru ramdev is really attack on hinduism. these people have never given any comments on cocacola and pepsi case when the whole india was astonished. they are anti social people
Just because a large number of people believe in something does not necessarily make it right. For instance, till the 16th century most of the world believed that the Earth was the center of the universe. Yes, take the knowledge that Hinduism, Islam, Christianity etc have to offer, but dont bring phenomena like 'God' and 'Afterlife' into it. Let us believe in these when we see it, like in the rest of the sciences. People need to understand that they can live without faith.
