In defence of Hindu Gurus
by T. S. Jaykumar on Jan 10, 2006 02:39 PM  Permalink

The article referred above is eyeopener for English print and Electronic Media. There is no need to worry about Hinduism or Sanathana Dharma as well as for Hindu Gurus. Truth will always wins in th end. In spite of repeated attempts over many centuires the Vedic Religion and Spiritual Texts are revered by millions of Indians. Every Kubh mela brings crores of Hindus together and the critics keep watching with uneasiness the ever increasing popularity of our Indian Culture based on Spirituality.

The continous criticism of Hinduism and its Gurus makes the foundation of our Spirituality very strong. we should not look at what media projects but the ground realities of people silently following the path shown by our saints and sages.

What we need to do is practise of basic spiritual values like Truth, Love, Dharma, Peace and Non Violence. The ritual part should be minimum and practice of these values should be given prominence.

The Temples, Ashrams and spiritual organisations should utilise the vast sums of money not for celebrations but giving free education, free medical services and free drinking water projects, creating awareness among rural people about healthy habits.

So... doing experiments in India Mr. Gautier ?
by Truth on Jan 10, 2006 02:13 PM  Permalink

Hello Mr. Gautier,

Hindu is not a religion. Hinduism is a way of life. Anyone who follows the principles of Hinduism a hindu. There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who follow Hinduism and the rest.
Please understand that hinduism is not mere the caste system.
what i just want to conclude is that there is no perfect hindu exists in the world. Hinduism is dead.

Anyway, no smamiji is free from law in a democratic country like India. why just the swamiji doesn't prove his innocence and shut the mouth of others.
I don't think Mrs.Karat is so intentional against him.
There are so many Ayurvedic 'vaidyan's(doctor) in Kerala. Why nobody rises a single question about their credibility? That is trust.
I know what Mr.Gautier wants to get from this article.
He just wants to get to know how Hindus respond to this article. He just want to know that much. So... doing experiments in India Mr. Gautier ?

Reply to Francois- In Defence of Indian Gurus
by B.Chandrasekhar on Jan 10, 2006 01:55 PM  Permalink

Hello Francois,
Your article though appreciative, needs some clarity which I would like to share. People like Satya Sai Baba. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Mata Amritanandamayi are Divine Incarnations of this planet. They cannot be merely termed as Indian gurus. Though born in India, they do not espouse any religion. And more over, they are Incarnations rather than Gurus. I am an ardent devotee of Amritananadamayi (Amma) and I know what halo she radiates. Every incarnation on this planet, be it Jesus, Krishna had to undergo criticism of some kind. Their message is one of selfless service and love. In fact, all their teachings are the same, just that they put it differently.

Swami Ramdev is not self realized master like them.Putting them on the same platform with him only lowers their status. Agreed, he has brought Yoga to indian household, but his recent articles and his appearances on TV only shows his arrogance(that he has helped cure people, which he has but he shouldn't be arrogant about it)... A god realized person accepts everyone and everything with a smile. See, the smile on Baba's, Sri Sri and Amma's face. They never complain.

On Hindu Gurus
by KGD on Jan 10, 2006 01:44 PM  Permalink

This article tells more abouit common things about Hinduis and to unite all GURUs and have platform for all the Hindus. But by Nature Indian Gurus are very Narrow minded and always interesed in one cast/subcast or the another. Thier Selfish motives are superior to anything else. They do lot of Illgal activities in the name of religion. Each guru is always feels that he is More suprior than others etc.,
So, even the idea of having common Spiritual platform is good, given the nature of Indian Gurus,in reality it may be difficult.

Sprry..If I am telling anything auacceptable..!!

the authors is very good at dividing indians communally
by saj on Jan 10, 2006 01:34 PM  Permalink

the author seems to be a right-wing ,capitalist funded spitting fire against muslims and communists.you always say about atrocities committed on hindus and zionists(jews).history is witness more muslims have died throughout the ages than any people due to religious persecution.we saw gujrat where police joined mob in slaugtering muslims, and raping their women folk.200 hundred muslim reel under jails on terrorism charges for killing 67 hindus.no person booked for killing and raping 4000 muslims and destroying and looting muslim property worth 3000 crores.the sates people gave a thumping mandate in the election that followed the gujrat genocide to the perpetrators of the worst riot in indian history.nowhere in inda did state govt take part in a carnage on the scale witnessed in gujrat.the auther comes in support for a dubious swami who uses animal testicles in his so called herbal drug.communists have long supported ayurved ,any doubt come to kerala .ayurveda has recieved a lot of patronage from all communists govts in kerala .the anguish is against a spurious drug maker and not against ayurveda.the voices raised by mrs.karat is for the labour rights and not aginst hinduism.jaihind
