I totally agree with the author. In the name of secularism, anything can be done against Hinduism. People of India, especially Marxists, need to realize why Hindu-related Vedas (eg Ayurveda), yoga and pranayama etc have become famous in the west. As the author mentioned it is high time all Indians get united to save the eternal dharma.
for the spiritual unity of all religions we sincerely invite one and all to the ART OF LIVING silver jubilee celebrations and conference on human values being held in Bangalore on 17,18,19 Feb.2006.
While i appreciate Mr Gautier's concerns, I wish to add that Hinduism does note believe in issuing edicts and the kind. There is no such thing as ONE GOD, ONE RULER etc in Hinduism.
The beauty of HInduism (or so it is called. its actually SANATHANA DHARMA) is its flexibility.
you can choose any path you want but the ultimate goal must be to attain salvation, be it advaita, dvaita or visihtadvaita etc.....
the only drawback of this is that some ppl tend to misuse this and con gullible ppl....but that i wud say is due to kali yuga....
fear not, this religion (a misnomer) shall not die and shall continue to exist till such time the mountains exist in this earth, the oceans remain, the stars shine.........
it has survived past turbulances and will do so in the future....
With out undermining the contibution of Sri Ravi, but I would have liked some one more core in the concept of Hinduism rather than Sri Ravi, who I believe is doing wonderful work, but is not enrirely focused on the core shartras / upanishads. Im not saying we live by them, but some who is more wel versed in them would make a better leader. And please dont make this view a non starter and a divide on who should be the leader.
Hello sir, this one is good article but hindusim needs a renissance to survive. Its not only congress or communist that are against hindus but BJP as well. It only wants power on hindu's name. It didn't do anything special for hindus.
