Tapping
by Himanshu on Jan 07, 2006 11:54 PM  Permalink

Agreed this is not right but I think we have other more important issues to discuss and debate. Investigation is on and let the results come out. Why Reliance is not being blamed and lastly I feel this issue is not a National issue.

Who tapped Amar Singh's phone?
by Vijay Pherwani on Jan 07, 2006 06:41 PM  Permalink

One thing definetly forces us to think the fact that Amar Singh in his TV interviews has cautioned (read threatened) anyone who dares to make public his tapes, decrying them in advance as morphed. Chor ke daadi mein tinka?

Phone tapping-Amar Singh

It is a very shame on part of the UPA government, particularly the people who are ruling from the front and back.I cannot understand why the other allies who are supporting this government are not bothered.I expect/request every voter of this country should vote to elect a good governance in future

privacy
by silent.invader on Jan 07, 2006 02:00 PM  Permalink

this is alarming. If something like this can happen to a high flying politian then it looks scary to even think of a common man. But unfortunately it is media which is the biggest violator of individual's privacy. Remember that popular face of Gujarat Riot Victim. Who gives you the right to publish that photograph as and when desired. Did you ever think of that man? This private detective whoever he is, should be given the severest punishment, if he doesn't furnish the name of that influential person. if he has furnished and police is saving that person then it becomes the duty of the media to bring out the truth and send that influential person behind bars. Common man is fed up of bashing cinestars like Salman Khans. Atleast for once give them some real culprit.

amar singh
by suncorona on Jan 07, 2006 01:45 PM  Permalink

this is all hog wash. amar singh is a chotta motta leader of a chotta motta party. the chotta motta party is a cateist party with low morals and scruples.this is public knowledge.

mr amar singh is overshadowed in his own party by mr mulayam singh's brother and son. he has no role to play. he has no mass political base. he will loose his deposit even if his dear friend mr amitabh bachan canvasses for him.
he is unecessarily propagating this to create some hype and media publicity for himself.
mr amar singh is a power broker, and so much importance need not be given to his phone being tapped.

Phone tapping

This issue clearly highlights the abuse the freedom of citizen, though everybody does not seem to care, Its matter of great concern a political partys resorting to such tactics to gain mileage and edge over each other.the guilty should be punished severely.statements are flying like attacks of locust, the point of contention is "Its not that wat one is afraid of" or Laila & majnu pshcology. this is direct attack on the foundation of democracy and rights. It is a crime at par with the attack on parliment by mujhadeens.Instead of defending all the concern parties should come clean and the guilty rightly tried and punished by the court.

Undoubtedly this is a serious matter. The frivolous approach of Ambika Soni,to say the least, exposes her total ignorance of what liberty means. In fact in ONE voice every person, politician or not, must DEMAND the truth behind this.Lately we have heard of 'Sting' operations.Someone should do so now,but without any preconceived notion or presumed involvement of one person or the other. What I cant understand is if Bhupinder Singh,or whatever his name be,is the receipent of the bribe amount, why cant he be riled to tell the truth? It should not ultimately happen "jis ka bhais usi ka danda" story.Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE in the improbable political liasions we have in our country. The truth MUST be dug out.
